Google is well known for changing its search algorithms from time to time and after each such modifications many sites complain reduction in their traffic. But that is not the only reason for reduction in traffic. There are so many sites providing similar contents in different fashions and
internet has become a very competitive arena in all the areas of knowledge and information.
The only way to survive in this environment is to try to increase the quality of our content and its coverage. If the visitors are getting an information which is not easily available in other places then they will repeatedly come to visit us.
I strongly feel that updating the old information regularly and adding new content in an aggressive way would help to some extent in this situation.

Recently I observed some improvement in the traffic to ISC. But still not as high as in earlier days. Especially Knowledge Centre is becoming very inactive again. It needs a push.
Google is known for its innovative practices and it will try to be at the top. These days competition is increasing and Google is trying to make use of this for its advantage. Adsense revenue has become less for many sites. Many are failing to reach the minimum payment level.
As mentioned by Umesh, the quality of content should be improved and there should be information on a variety of subjects. Then only the sites may be able to maintain good traffic and can earn good revenue.

Traffic to a site is key to earnings and obviously then only the members will also be benefited by sharing RSB and other cash credits.
I also agree that we have to populate more content and also try to improve the quality. That is a challenging proportion but there is no other way possible in the present situation. Google AdSense earnings are solely dependent on the traffic to a site and if Google changes its strategy in any way then it would also affect the traffic.
Incidentally, due to some technical reasons my AdSense account was not approved but now that is sorted out and I am waiting for it to get approved which generally takes a few months. I will come to know about the traffic to my pages in this site only after that.
Thoughts exchanged is knowledge gained.

Dr Rao, many sites are suffering from low traffic problem but some are trying to improve and change their strategies to cope up.
As regards the individual AdSense earnings, for many people it has decreased significantly because it is related to two things - first is the impressions or clicks to their pages and second is the quality of content on that pages.
We can directly check the quality of our pages (means where our contributions are there) by the earnings in AdSense.
For last 6-8 months I am seeing almost nil earnings in my AdSense but again last 15 days I am seeing some little value there. My guess is it is due to a few articles published by me recently and increased forum activities.
Earning from AdSense is becoming tougher day by day.
Let us hear the experiences of other members also to know more about this situation.

Google is a joke nowadays and most of the search shows sponsored ads. People get the information without even clicking the links, which is drastically decreasing the traffic to the targetted sites. Once you type a query in the search box, you can get your answer without even visiting the websites. Only incase of shopping and other tasks, which requires login to the site will make a person click links. Rest of the websites that were earning because of their blogs are lagging behind and traffic is decreasing because of change in users habits.
The worst damage has been done by YouTube, which is the new search engine for people. People prefer searching on YouTube instead of Google because they like watching videos instead of reading. People have smartphones with apps and they rarely go to Google because they get most of the things done through apps. The new generation is a bit different and they have completely changed the landscape of internet. I am a bit old fashioned still thinking that people might revert back to their earlier style of using internet but it looks like it will never be the same again.
Humble yourself or life will do it for you!

I think Google is damaging the content writers by encouraging the sponsored ads and providing answers through Gemini chatbot. The chatbots themselves depend on the original content writers for their gathering of answers. If Google discourages content writers, after sometime even AI chatbots will provide stale answers as there won't be any new content writers. Who will write content without monetary benefits? Finally, the internet will be flooded with sponsored content and the AI chatbots will provide answers by gathering them from the sponsored content.

I am somewhat fearing whether ISC will get impacted by the implementation of Google's Site Reputation Abuse on 5th May as the content of ISC is generated by its members, who may be considered as third-party by Google.
Google says in its Site Reputation Abuse: "We'll now consider very low-value, third-party content produced primarily for ranking purposes and without close oversight of a website owner to be spam. We're publishing this policy two months in advance of enforcement on May 5, to give site owners time to make any needed changes."

As far as the density of the traffic is concerned for the ISC platform, I think it has not picked up to that level. The Knowledge centre was devised to enhance the traffic of the members. Though it is gaining popularity but response from the members needs to be stepped up further. Forum posts have picked up but still, we will have to participate in this section to strengthen the traffic density.
In the article section, postings are appearing from the members but the responses are not picking up to that level which we witnessed earlier. The best part is we all members have realised the strengths and weak points of the different sections, now we need to cover up the deficiency with our efforts.

@Bhuvan, Google is a search engine leader and no other search engine is even close. Google is taking advantage of this position and implementing things which increases their revenue. We will continue to see such monopolistic behaviour until we have an alternative search engine. In the last few decades Google has helped many bloggers earn through adsense but now the situation has changed. Websites that just provides information without any business models are getting eliminated from search results. Those who have adapted and made changes to their website have grown into big businesses. You can see many examples like Shiksha, Naukri, Olx, etc that have evolved into big businesses and some are even listed in the stock market.
Slowly Google is filtering websites that doesn't have a business model. They don't want those websites to rank whose revenue is based on Adsense, which is paid by Google to the website owners. I will not be surprised if people stop using Adsense and prefer affiliate marketing in future the way things are going.

Ajay Gupta, you have made the picture more clear but still Google will not be ignoring some quality data being contributed in various other sites. The example of the websites that you have given is alright and there are many like that doing a brisk business in internet but Google will not ignore or eliminate the others and only thing is they will not be on the top of the search results or front page and that is quite logical. Many common sites would be pushed to next pages in Google search result.
These things are happening for quite some time and Google is also seeing the pros and cons of these changes made in its algorithm from time to time.
In my view it will take some more time for these things to stabilise and any downward change in the traffic to a site would finally confirm these apprehensions.
