    How can a person become rich?

    There are many rich people in the world. Some are rich because they have inherited it from their parents while some are self made businessmen highly successful in their business endeavours. There are many rag to riches stories being told and heard around us about the people who started their careers with a scratch and became quite successful and also became rich.
    It is true that there is no short cut to become rich. A large number of people are struggling to earn daily bread and butter in this world and then what to talk of becoming rich?
    How can a person become rich? Is it very difficult? What career path or business line one has to choose to become rich? Or should one be satisfied with what one has got and not yearn for more money? What are your thoughts on this?

    I think many people in this world have the desire of becoming rich and with that kind of money enjoy the life but alas, it is not easy to achieve that. All the competition in this world is for getting power and money. Even some people are making money through illegal and evil means.
    Recently we have seen a spate of raid cases by authorities on the people who are amassing illegal wealth and hiding it.
    It is believed that if a person has a new idea of business and he succeeds in it then he can become a rich person. There are many examples in business where people innovated something new and earned huge profits.
    Facebook, Google, Reliance Industries, and many other examples are there which created history in huge earnings through new businesses.
    Thoughts exchanged is knowledge gained.

    Business is the only way you can become rich because it has tremendous potential for growth. You can't become rich by doing a 9 to 5 job because you are dependent on a businessman to pay your salary. Job is a least risky way to live your life and support your family. Business on the other hand can make you rich but it is risky because most of the businesses fail.

    I am not talking about illegal ways because those methods can make you rich, but it won't help your reputation in the society. There are many examples of criminals and politicians who have amassed wealth through illegal drug trade and corruption. In my view, we should just focus on our work because our aim should be to do our best and leave the rest to the almighty.
    Humble yourself or life will do it for you!

    It is a very interesting post. Becoming rich within a short period with honest means for the low -income group is really difficult how hard, it might be.. However, there are certain ways to earn substantially for some educated people if they opt for the field of education, medical field, field of charted accountancy, area of AI etc.
    Though the money would not pour in immediately with a consistent approach, they can improve their financial status. Now let us talk about others such as car mechanic who remains bussy day and night earning money but it takes years to start a garage.
    In fact, the educated people with certain skills are more comfortable in terms of earning than the ones not having demanding skiils of the current times.

    Members have given their views and now let me also add that today we are living in a highly competitive environment and no one is going to buy our ideas until and unless there is something new and also there is scope of making money through a new business.
    It is said that for any new business to become successful an innovative approach is required and the outcome of the process should generate a booming business. The idea could be in any area including some of the niche areas like carbon emission reduction, environment restoration, garbage disposal, fast moving consumer items, and many more.
    When an innovative idea gets incubated and the product is floated in the market then its wider acceptance brings good revenue which can make the person managing that project rich but the catch is that how many such ideas are really clicking and bringing fortune to the initiator.
    Knowledge is power.

    How to become rich? As far as my knowledge goes, there are no set methods or procedures to follow to become rich. There are no standard operations instructions for this. What are the criteria to consider one person as rich? As far as my knowledge goes, there are no such classifications. If we have enough money to carry on our life that is sufficient. Proper planning and budgeting of our expenses may help us to grow our bank balances. When we are earning, we should see that we will have some reserves so that future needs can be addressed. No financial constraints will make us happy.
    Not indulging in unnecessary spending, spending money in bad habits may make a rich man also poor. But by following this we can't say that a poor man will become rich. As mentioned by the other members, doing business will make a man rich but all can't go for business without having any talent and money. There are people who lost their money in their businesses also.
