It is great to see ISC back in its old form

The education niche is a wider subject and it requires a lot of hard work and consistency to stay relevant on Google platforms. Members on ISC were restricted and unable to fully express and explore different subjects which now stands reinstated. It is a good decision to return to the earlier position which I hope will prove beneficial to ISC. Let's dive into wider subjects and share more useful content on ISC.

When I joined ISC again after a long gap I found that there had been many changes and experiments done for the betterment of the site and today it has come back to its original form but with addition of niche section 'Knowledge Centre' which is a place for quality educational content. Practically Knowledge Centre has replaced the erstwhile Ask Experts section which was too elementary from today's standards.
Old members returning and becoming active is a matter of great rejoice for all of us as it is directly linked to the progress of the site. In my view what we require today is more quality content in various sections especially updation of information pertaining to schools, colleges, universities, institutes, etc.

    Thoughts exchanged is knowledge gained.

If in a shop different articles and different varieties of the same articles are available more customers will come and purchase. But if the shop has only one item but different varieties correspondingly the number of customers will decrease. The same is the case with a library. Books on different subjects are available means more and more readers will visit and use the facility. If only books of one subject book are available means the visitors will be fewer.
ISC was allowing different topics in almost all the sections and more members were visiting and trying to contribute. But once it has been restricted to only niche areas, naturally the choice of members has become limited and members reduced their contributions and the number of visitors. ISC understood this fact and now decided to allow all the subjects with a few restrictions. Now we are seeing an improvement and I feel slowly it will slowly come back to its original status.

Members coming back to forum section is a proof that forum section was the most popular section in ISC and many members simply contributed here to keep in touch with others and to see what was going on in the site. More serious members of course contributed in other sections and that was the primary source of content in ISC.
Some members were interested mainly in the contests which were an integral part of ISC architecture and provided not only fun but helped members in sharpening their creative writings and meeting a writer's aspirations.
ISC is going to flourish, only thing is sustained contributions from a good number of members would be required to meet this objective.

    Knowledge is power.

I agree. After a lengthy absence, I returned to the website and noticed many changes, but I didn't participate much because I usually enjoyed the ISC forum section. I was unable to understand what I should post due to the limitations. I was unable to communicate my feelings, but now that things have changed here, I feel better. A few months ago, there were barely any new threads being discussed in this forum, making it seem almost inactive.

Yes, I agree. It is really nice to see forum section coming back by and by with more participation and activity.
This is from the viewpoint of a forum-folk like me. I don't know about the search and reach impact or revenue impact of the site.
It is a general truth that people adjust and accept to changes gradually. Disruptions may not be relished and may even be resisted. I think ISC went through such a phase and it was confusion and disruption. Now that phase is slowly being reversed and that is why it is felt as "ISC back in its old form". I think it may take some more efforts and time to be as active and vibrant it was. But we cannot reverse everything as there will be some non-reversible changes and characteristics.
It should be a mutually -one step I take and one step you take to come to amid meting point from the side of members as well as ISC establishment, understanding and acknowledging each other's inevitability for sustenance of ISC.

Yes, I agree with the author and feel good that ISC is back to its old form. There are many threads daily to respond to. The members are contributing with great enthusiasm. Many members who have been inactive for the last few months are now active and contributing regularly.
    Honesty is the best policy.
