    Taking initiatives is a great quality of a person

    Initiative taking is a great quality of a person. There are few persons who have this trait. In a group, people talk and discuss many things but when it comes to taking action many shirk from the responsibility and try that others do it.
    Taking responsibility and initiating a process is full of challenges but the people who can do it are the real winners in long run. Have you ever taken initiative for something which later fetched good dividends? Should we take initiatives or wait for someone else to do it? What are your views?

    A very interesting thread from the author. One should not wait for somebody to come and bell the cat. He can do it and own the benefits or losses. That is the quality of a person who wins always. As required to the situation one has to make a decision and move forward. That should be the attitude. If we wait for somebody to make a decision we will be followers only. We will never be leaders. Think and take a decision and move forward. Taking a wrong decision is much better than not taking a decision.
    When I was in charge of a factory, I used to take initiative and see that work would move forward. Sometimes, I may be going against the wishes of my subordinates or my boss. But finally, I proved to be correct. Always be the front-runner. Take initiative and go ahead which will open many doors for your progress.

    Yes, I agree with the author that taking initiative is a great quality of a person. It shows the leadership quality. A leader can take the initiative. Many people are afraid of the results. Great people always take initiative and then prove it right.
    Honesty is the best policy.

    What the author has hinted is correct. We should not wait until some initiatives are taken from some one else. It might happen due to inferiority complex. Sometimes we remain in the state of confusion that the proposal offered by us might not be perfect for the situation. As a result, we keep mum.
    In my case also it has happened multiple times when my boss asked me ways how to improve despatch of the product of a shift. I suggested that some work team must note to duty one hour before his normal duty and his departure would be one hour before the next shit. By the time, there is the exit of such people, the next batch would follow him to maintain the despatch.
    This planned approach worked well.

    It is said that this world is today what it is because there were some people who took great initiatives in a variety of areas and brought advancement in science, technology, etc and contributed in the progress of the mankind on this planet Earth. Nothing can start and progress ahead if there are no people having a strong will and desire to take initiatives. There had been cases where a small initiative taken snowballed quickly and became a big boon for the human beings and the society.
    People having qualities of taking initiatives are generally sucessful in their endeavours and lead the people for a better tomorrow.
    Knowledge is power.
