Are you getting showered with advices while visiting sites/blogs/channels?

Internet is an ocean of knowledge. For everything there are hundreds of sites/blogs/channels giving some information or data on a particular topic. Generally, it would be useful to us in one way or other but at the same time we have to be careful and alert not to fall in the trap of fake and dubious sites.
When we visit different sites we get a lot of information in the shape of advices. A channel will tell us that applying such and such oil makes the skin glow. Another channel will tell us that eating such an such item will remove the fat from our body. Then some channel would advise us to make quick buck using a business model. Then there are channels which tell us that out of so many brands of a material such and such brand is the best.
So, we are being showered with a lot of information and sometimes we are utterly confused in that deluge. What to follow and what not?
Have you ever experienced like that? Please share your views.

Now Social media has become a common platform for almost all people. Everybody is trying to show their talent to the public. That is why we are getting so many suggestions, advice etc, from many people. Daily if we see social media posts, we will get many paths to achieve our goals. But we don't know what is right and what is wrong. We don't know about the capability and knowledge levels of the person who is giving suggestions. So it is our basic responsibility to see the correctness of the information given there. If we lose we can't make them responsible.
We should read standard books or keep talking to people who have good knowledge of that particular subject. The suggestions from standard books and from knowledgeable people only should be taken as valid. Many time my wife comes out with some or the other information that is available on the internet and asks me whether to believe it or not. Then I will verify the source and references given in the source and then only a decision will be taken whether to take that suggestion or not.

Yes, there are so many channels in the internet giving information and data on various topics. More we search, more variety we get. In that ocean of information we simply get ourselves lost. We get a large number of tips, tricks, advices, suggestions, ideas, and guidance sort of things and it is not easy to filter the best out of that for our usage.
Many people are experiencing these difficulties in extracting relevant and genuine information from the internet.

    Knowledge is power.

I generally go to YouTube for getting the relevant information on a particular topic. There are so many channels giving information on the same thing. Only difference is in the way the information is presented. Some channels are presenting it in a very precise and meticulous manner and that we can find from the high number of views that they are getting.
It is also true that sometimes the information given by a channel contradicts or does not match with other and we should accordingly keep that information in the dubious category to be confirmed later.
Internet has expanded massively and for everything thousands of explanations are available. At times it adds to confusion but we have to be fully prepared for such a situation and select the useful part of the data.

    Thoughts exchanged is knowledge gained.
