Acting skills will come to some people naturally, I feel

We have seen many great actors who excelled in the Cinema industry. NTR, ANR, MGR, Amitabh, Anupam Kher etc. are very well-known actors on screen. They achieved many awards and appreciation, and we all appreciate their acting skills. But none of them had any diploma or degree in on-screen or off-screen acting. They excelled in their profession on their own and those acting skills came to them naturally.

Today there are many diplomas and degrees in acting. Some of the candidates who completed these courses are not able to show their skills on screen and they are not shining in their profession.

Some skills are to be obtained naturally but not by studying and acting is one such skill, I feel. I like to know the views of the members on this subject.

This is an interesting observation and it is not only true for acting but many other things in our lives like succeeding in business, making a political career, becoming a singer, and many other qualities and having successful careers like that.
So, whether we call it happening naturally or an inbuilt quality since birth, some people are bestowed with those great arts embedded in their personalities.
The world is full with such examples in various fields and areas.
Coming to the people sharpening these qualities by acquiring learnings and completing courses, I strongly feel that only those who have interest, focus, and aptitude for such art forms would succeed in their lives and will be able to carve out a career in that line.
Interest coupled with hard work can only bring laurels to a person in any area.

    Knowledge is power.

It would be early for a child to master the art of acting if this skill is taught to them at their tender generation. The advancement of age retards their learning process. Parents should create an environment for promoting their talents in this line.
However, a child has to devote his time to studies apart from this hobby creating a stressful situation.
Here the role of parents is crucial. They should come forward with a concrete guideline on how both activities can be managed with prudent planning. The morning hours are not conducive for the skill of acting since this could interfere with the tasks allotted to the kids by the teachers.
The best timing could be the early evening hours and that, too, under the guidance of a competent tutor.

It is said that artists are born artists. How much that is true can be ascertained when we see some children doing remarkably well in the area of performing arts than that of others. I have seen some poor children in remote villages who are singing in a very clear and melodious voice. They have not taken any training for that. They even do not know that they are so good in their performance. If cultivated, they can become good artists one day.
We have also seen some children belonging to well to do or rich families who are dull in respect of performing arts. So, there must be some natural or genetic factor that is governing the talents of such persons.
Performing arts are different than the academic subjects like Mathematics, Geography, etc. The various art forms like acting, singing, dancing, etc require emotional touch of our senses. They are more near to our hearts and feelings.

    Thoughts exchanged is knowledge gained.
