These specialized professionals can possibly grow by leaps and bounds

Some specialized courses including Master's Degree in Interior Decoration, Sustainable Development and Economics, Low Cost Housing Architecture, Organic Farming and Event Management etc., seems to be the future in terms of explosive growth. As such, we have very few courses in an areas like Event Management. Similarly conducting huge events like the International Chess Tournament, the massive International Conferences and so on, offer huge scope for learning and development.

The syllabus for such courses offers too much innovation. For example, while millions were sold on the trickledown theory of development, the negative side of this sort of development where the rich grow richer and the poor even poorer has now been highlighted as a major problem that haunts planners.

Given these realities, it becomes imperative that such courses cover everything-- housing, sanitation, water management, environment protection, and so on. Only such comprehensive learning, based on sustainable development practices can offer new lessons for those who are already doing good work.

The UGC needs new innovative thinking to open up new graduate and post graduate courses in this regard. We could even have collaboration with foreign universities, wherever applicable.

The author should consolidate all his thoughts regarding UGC reforms and submit an article on this site so that all issues can be addressed in a single article. That will help the reader also to understand all the issues. Otherwise when we read these threads sometimes we feel as if there is a repetition in the subject.
There is a change in the requirements of the industry. They are asking for skills more than academic qualifications. A combination of both academic qualifications as well as skills is in demand. Keeping this in view, UGC should come out with new courses designed in consultation with industry experts and professionals so that students will benefit.
Already NEP is working in that direction and the coming days I expect many more changes in the education system which will create skilled people required for the industry.

The author has put up so many ideas in one single post but the essence is to give emphasis on some emerging professions and devise formal courses for them.
I think already courses exist which cover these activities and most of these courses are offered by private institutions which are having options of short or medium term courses covering these topics.
As per my understanding I do not see any lack of these courses in our country and many cities and all the big cities have such training centres for providing short term courses for these professions.
What efforts are required at national level by UGC for formally making these courses available is not very clear to me but yes that could make them more recognisable by the employing agencies.

    Thoughts exchanged is knowledge gained.

The author has taken several courses that could help the aspirants achieve their proficiency levels with an understanding of the subject opted for by them. If we go through the list as suggested by the author, some of the courses are available through private institutions but these courses are to be promoted further for the benefit of the aspirants.
NEP policy is already under the evolution process and is seriously thinking of the inclusion of such courses beneficial to the student community. Once this takes a final shape, we will have clarities concerning course - content to be introduced after clearance of the policy.
We are passing through an intermediate stage where we cannot evaluate exactly which courses could create an employment opportunity. Hope, this situation can be suitably addressed once the committee on NEP takes up the courses for final clearances.

Many native hereditary, family trades and professions and pastimes have moved away from their hereditary lineage and passages and such practitioners are becoming less and less. However in the cycle of fashion and modernity many old things are re-packages and/or marketed by remix. They become hit with the newer generations. Then observing the commercial viabilities and opportunities many flock into that trending business. his necessitates trained persons for such fields. Naturally those who have their fingers on the pulses of Z gen immediately device new package courses. It is then followed by the governance and regulatory systems who will then formulate rules and regulations and put refreshed systems in place.
