Cherish all small moments and pockets of happiness

Certain vacations to an exotic hill station can be memorable for ever. We had been to Kashmir and were astonished to find the CRPF jawans everywhere. There was a fairly substantial amount of activity, as it was the month of May. But Kashmir was pretty cold and Srinagar, a well developed city, was simply superb.

Pahalgam was the best of the lot. The snow clad mountains in the background was the best we had ever seen in our life. It was simply too beautiful. Even the silent moments of jokes and some chatting with the locals were all moments to cherish for ever. We had preserved these in our memory, and when we recollect these moments, life becomes that much more beautiful.

If not Kashmir, we could perhaps visit all the nearest tourist spots. And spend quality time with our families. These small pockets of happiness is our treasure, reassuring us that life is not just about conflicts. Life is full of good moments to cherish, and recollect for ever.

There will be moments of happiness in our lives. One should cherish such moments. Those moments will help us to forget worries and difficulties. There are many places where we will get immense joy and happiness by visiting them. Many of us will be in jobs and we have to manage our work to the satisfaction of the management. In this process, we will forget family issues and we will not give sufficient time to spend with them. Keeping this fact in view, our HR experts created LTA. We should go to good places with our families on LTA and enjoy the time there. I used to go to different places every year with my family.
I enjoyed many good places and Munnar is one of the best places I visited. I wish to visit again to that place so that I can enjoy good moments there. Similarly, I have a wish to go to Nepal with my family and spend some good time there.

Life can be enjoyed if we take it in that way. Traveling and sight seeing is one of those activities that makes us happy. It is a great fun time for all especially the children. Our country is having many picturesque places from Kashmir to Kanyakumari and from Gujarat to Assam. Some places are already on the tourist map but there are many places which are less known but abound in the natural beauty.
During the school summer vacations there is a rush for tourist places and people visit places like Kashmir, Simla, Kullu-Manali, Varanasi, Darjeeling, Shillong, Tawang, Kodaikanal, Ooty, Matheran, Munnar, Mahabalipuram, Mahabaleshwar, Yercaud, and many more.
Those who can afford can go to foreign locations also but there are good destinations in our country itself.
Apart from traveling and sightseeing there are other activities also where we can derive happiness and cherish those memorable moments in our lives. For example playing games with family members on a holiday is a great stress buster.
A get to gather with friends and relatives or a picnic with them is also a great way to enjoy the small things in our lives.

    Knowledge is power.

If we have the attitude we can relish and cherish anything-even a small little sight or interaction.
Even today while travelling to even the nearest town I am happy to view the outside from the bus or vehicle I am travelling. Many times my companion will be dozing off, but I will be looking outside and enjoying each site, eagerly observing the behaviour, action and reaction of the passengers boarding and alighting.
On travel to tourist places w used to get into courtesy and friendly talk with locals, other tourists etc. These interactions also used to get us more information on many things which otherwise would have overlooked or missed.
In our last trip my wife could mix with the other tourists and participate in the Garba dance those women were doing. In another place she could join with a few college girls dancing and enjoying. Then they asked her to click their photos
In that same trip we could visit one temple, which was not there in our planned itinerary but was suggested by the lodge owner where we stayed. It was a real worth of it. That stays in our mind much more than the other sites .

It is an interesting post raised by the author. Sightseeing can be great fun when we think of this forgetting our miseries. Though we are on the trip, out minds remain preoccupied with a lot of activities including the job assignments. Such an indulgence does not allow us to enjoy the pleasure of trips.
In the course of a trip, we must exploit the upcoming events and if needed we may talk with other passengers sitting next to us to have the full information of our sight seeing.
We must use time judiciously so that we can enjoy the trip to the full extent.

A good thought by the author. I remember during our childhood we used to derive happiness from small things which at that time appeared great to us. For example we used to make small hut using a few wooden sticks and old cloth and inside that we cooked small amount of food and celebrated a small function for the small dolls we possessed. Our parents cooperated with us and encouraged us to do those activities. It was great fun and how few hours passed so quickly we did not know.
That was the childhood but such things can be done at any age by engaging in small activities with friends or family members and certainly that can bring joy in our lives.
There is a wrong perception in the minds of some people that enjoyment can only be done by spending good amount of money and visiting places and going to costly restaurants and taking food and things like that. It is not so. For enjoying life we should have a mindset like that and there are umpteen number of activities around us, however small they look, which bring happiness of great order.

    Thoughts exchanged is knowledge gained.
