As far as I am concerned, I have no favourite sites except ISC. I spend some time daily on this site.
Daily I refer to many sites. News channel sites, newspaper sites etc. are there in the list. I go through these sites to know what is happening around me. Earlier I used to buy a hard copy of a newspaper. But now I am not purchasing a hard copy. I go through digital paper only. But there is no favourite site on these sites.
I will be searching for some important information on Google. I go through the heading of the items and if I find anything interesting I will go through the full information given on the site. There are no liked or unliked websites here. The availability of information is more important.
Mainly I will be going through various topics related to chemistry and there are some online journals also. I refer to such websites for the latest information.

There are many websites providing us information to the area we are looking for. In that way, we are hugly benefited as compared to old times. All sorts of information are within our finger tips due to the improved technology currently.
As far as I am concerned, I hardly go through any website for information- purpose, I stick to the site ISC platform for accessing knowledge in the different areas. At least, this is the single platform covering knowledge domains in the different fields.
The advantage what we are getting here is immense and as such it is my favorite site.

My first exposure to internet was about 35 years back that is in the year 1988 and I was not only amazed with its extent and power but became an obsessive fan of it and still continuing.
During my journey in virtual space so far I have visited a large number of sites out of which I found some very good and I still go there if I have to find some specific, authentic, and relevant information.
I tried to publish my content in various sites and I was quite successful in that and though my major time is going now in ISC, still there are 2-3 sites where I am occasionally contributing and incidentally I am a senior member there.
Apart from that, I frequently visit Google or Bing or Yahoo for finding some data or information.
Whenever I get time I visit some free but reputed sites for learning a topic in a structured way where after every chapter there is a test before proceeding to next chapter.
Due to my advancing age most of these activities are slowly coming down except that in ISC.

I have visited some sites but was never engaged in them for any publishing. I visit Google for the searching of websites and other information. Most of the time I go to news channels and other general channels for entertainment purpose. I am giving much time in ISC contributing mainly in Article and Forum section.
In my spare time I go to recipe channels also for getting information on preparation of dishes.
For getting a variety of information quickly, Wikipedia is one site that we can explore.

Saji, I appreciate your critical and precise observation and also happily surprised that you are able to check and moderate each and every post or response in forum section. That is a good amount of time and efforts. Bravo.

Anyway, for general public internet was available from 1995 and became popular soon. In my case I had access to it even in 1988 through a research organisation. It was limited access but I was much impressed with that. In 1995, I was transferred to Chennai and was having access to it officially. That time we had it through the landline connection and it often broke in between. Today what we are able to surf in 15 minutes was a 6-7 hours engagement at that time.

I started using the Internet in the year 1995. My company had internet in the office and I was given a desktop computer and I got trained in spreadsheets etc. In the year 2000, I got my first desktop in my house and my company gave internet connection in my house. I got my first laptop in the year 2004. This is again provided by the company only. I purchased the laptop in the year 2019 only. Now I spend a minimum of 8 hours on my laptop and mainly I will be carrying to searches for obtaining technical information related to my profession.

I use the internet regularly. And I have been using the internet for different types of work. For each type of work, I have favourite website. For example, nowadays I draw different representational pictures/images using AI. For this purpose, my favourite site is craiyon.com. I regularly train myself to keep myself fully informed about Government schemes/ projects/rules, etc. For this, I use iGot Karmayogi. To have expertise in those subjects which I like, I use SWAYAM portal. For reading Bengali story books, I use some other sites. The list is endless.

However, my favourite site is Quora. I write regularly in Quora English and Quora Bengali. But, I read much more than what I write. I read Quora English, Quora Bengali and Quora French. Planning to join Quora Hindi very soon. Quora is simply incomparable.

I have been using the internet for the last 15 years or so. I know various websites from which we can earn a small amount of money, and I spend time on them to earn marginal money.

Apart from them, I usually like to watch YouTube for various things to attain knowledge. I am trying to start affiliate marketing, so watch videos about it. The Internet, as you say, is an ocean of information. I won't say everything we see or check on the sites is true, and it's up to us to further check the information we find out from these sites, so we must be careful and should not take them as truthful.
