Always have control over your thought patterns

Our thoughts influence our beliefs and our attitudes and our actions. Whatever we think often influences what we do.

Though there is a massive amount of material online about positive thinking and all that, life is not easy at all. The real problems of our social life, our organizational life or even our own family lives, would depend a lot on what we think about everything that we see around us. For instance, we we might not like loud noise, the younger generation want to dance and sing aloud as well. During the weekends, they do make a lot of noise, even in apartment complexes. It is their right to do so, and as long as they do not unduly disturb others, we should have an open mind, as regards their thoughts.

Another related issue is that of assertive behavior of the young They are very bold and they are assertive, as they are sure about their careers and their opportunities. When we start thinking that the world has changed, our world view changes as well. We would then give our sons and daughters and son-in-laws and daughter-in-laws, their own space to do what they like. No amount of tall talk about the good old days and our sacrifices will help in any way. Times have totally changed and we do need to acknowledge this fact.

I think author has mixed two issues in this post. The first one talks of controlling our thought process because many times our actions result from that only. If our thoughts are positive it is likely that we remain in constructive territories.
The second issue is to understand the feelings of the young generation and give them their space and not interfere much in their matters as they have their own ideas about making their careers as well as enjoying the lives in their own ways.
Coming to the second issue as above, yes, it is true that new generation has their own ways of leading their lives and we cannot give them sermons about what is right and what is wrong. At the same time if they are financially dependent on us then we have all the rights to tell them the rule of the house that they cannot create any nuisance and have to abide by the house discipline and rules. If they go out with friends and chill then that is upto them. But they cannot disturb the privacy of others in the house or neighbourhood in the name of modernisation.

    Thoughts exchanged is knowledge gained.

Positive thinking and constructive approach is a very important and crucial thing in our lives. As said that a good beginning is a sign of success, so a positive thinking is a sign of a good forthcoming action.
The post has highlighted the changing mindset of new generation. The young people today want freedom of all sort. They want to lead their lives on their own terms. They even do not want their parents to interfere in their personal lives. They want private space and cannot compromise on that.
Parents have become aware of this change but have become a mute spectator and cannot bring any moderation in the attitude of their children.

    Knowledge is power.

It is always wise to talk prudently with the young generation. Once they are employed and can manage their expenses, we should not interfere with their decisions. They are indeed living with us however, in every moment they should not be questioned why they have a different step. Parents can guide their children till they are not financially stable. Excess interference can spoil the sweet relationship between parents and children.

Our thoughts will decide our behaviour. We act as per our thinking. When a task is given to us, we will think about the methodology we have to adopt to complete the same early and in the best possible way. When we start the same with the hope that we will be successful in completing the task, our planning will be different. But if we think that we can't do our planning will be different. Assertiveness and positive thinking, these two are very important for our success in life. When the boss asks us something if we answer the same with authority, he will think that we are assertive and he will encourage us. If we express many doubts he may think that we are not assertive and he may not have confidence in us. He may try to look for alternatives and we may be at a loss. So we should all think positively and assert ourselves. Assertiveness is different from overconfidence.

Starting a task on a positive note always produces a good result ultimately. Thinking continuously about how the job can be carried out to achieve the target would not produce results unless we are clear with the steps to be taken in the different phases. Once we start our jobs cautiously taking every precaution affecting our performance and employing the latest techniques to improve our performance is the only solution to achieve targetted results.
Sometimes our assertiveness before the boss might create confusion in the mindset of the bosses. Hence it is better to start the conversation in a courteous manner so that boxes take the same positively. No doubt, we are sure to secure accolades ultimately with our marvellous performance.

Starting a task on a positive note is indeed crucial for success. A clear plan with well-defined steps for each phase is essential, as mere contemplation won't lead to results. Being cautious and employing the latest techniques can significantly enhance performance and help achieve targeted outcomes. Assertiveness with superiors should be balanced with courtesy to avoid misunderstandings and foster a positive reception. Effective communication and a respectful approach can pave the way for recognition and accolades. Ultimately, a combination of strategic planning, diligent execution, and respectful interaction is key to achieving excellence and earning appreciation in any professional setting.
