During my childhood we used to play Ludo. It is a very interesting game. We played it mostly within the family members except a few times when our friends visited us on holidays.
Later we learned to play Monopoly which was a business minded game and lasted for quite long a time.
By the time I went to college my frequency of playing these games decreased much and we played them occasionally.
In college we learned playing table tennis.

    Thoughts exchanged is knowledge gained.

There are many indoor games. Many children prefer playing indoor games also. These days children play games on their electronic gadgets ( Virtual Games ). All virtual games are also indoor games only,
During my school days, we played Caram board games. In our house, we had one small board and one big board. In the summer holidays, both boards were busy. In our village, there was a club and there this game was very famous those days. Young people going to that club used to play this game. Another very interesting game is Snakes and Ladders. Another game is the business game. All these games are very interesting and many students in summer used to spend their time on these games those days.
Chess is the best indoor game. This game will help to improve our thinking process. It will teach us patience. My maternal grandfather taught me this game and we used to play. My grandfather was a very good chess player. My brother and I used to play chess frequently whenever we both had some time.
Playing cards is another time passing indoor game. All my family members including my parents used to play cards in our house with no bets.

Let me also share my favourite indoor games. During my childhood I lived in a village for some time and used to play Bagh-Bakri with the other children in the village. It was a game where we used to make a board on the ground by a sharp stone and placed a big and some small pebbles on it in a particular way. The big pebble was lion and small were goats. That was an interesting game and we enjoyed it much.
Then one of the child in the village got a Snake and Ladder game and we all started playing that in turns of course as only one board was there in the entire village.
When I shifted to the town then we got introduced with Ludo, Monopoly, etc and played that.
In college we got opportunity to play table tennis and chess.
Today I have got some games in my mobile/laptop and very occasionally I play them.

    Knowledge is power.

Indoor games are enjoyable, as you can stay inside when it is hot in the summer. My favorite indoor games are table tennis, ludo, carrom board, and chess. I was a good player of table tennis in my school days. I wanted to pursue my career in sports, but my parents, being orthodox, never wanted me to make sports my career. Maybe they were right because I don't see much money in table tennis because of competition, and the game is not very popular here in India.
