    A date which is mostly usual only in fruits.

    We may ask the vendor or enquire the price with this word dozen. Dozen means 12. So when turn the calendar today I noticed it 12/6/24 and thought of sharing this. So this may be called as dozen date as date is one dozen, month is half a dozen and year is two dozens. Since it is mostly with fruits may also be termed as fruit date.

    Also one more is 12 divided by 6 is 2 and 12 multiplied by 2 is 24.

    Interesting observation by the author. The author had earlier also contributed many interesting things related to dates and numbers like palindromic numbers.
    This year we will have this type of observation again in December on 06.12.24 or 12.12.24
    Thoughts exchanged is knowledge gained.

    Numbers, dates, etc become very interesting when we see a pattern in them. For example on 22nd February 2022 all the digits in the date were 2.
    These patterns not only make the number or date interesting but also help us in remembering it. For example a car number 3579 is easy to remember because it is a series where each next number is 2 more than the earlier.
    Mathematics becomes a good pastime and fun if we look for such patterns.
    Knowledge is power.

    An interesting thread from the member. Many such threads explaining different patterns of numbers were contributed by the author. My sincere thanks to her. This year is a two-dozen year we can say. One dozen is 12, two dozen are 24 and this year is 24. So we can say this year itself is a fruit year.
    In the coming month, we will get the date 6/6/24. We can call this sixes date. In cricket 6 is the highest number of runs one can get for one ball. Scoring 6 is considered a great performance. The date is six, the month is six and 24 is also a multiple of 6. There are four numbers in the date and if we multiply 6 with this 4 we will get 24. So that date can be considered this date as date of Sixes. If we spend some time and try to make some patterns we may be able to get many such.

    These days in Hyderabad many types of lyfruits are sold on a weight basis only. In earlier days, mangoes are sold on a dozen basis. Watermelon, Papaiah, etc are sold on a number basis. But now all these three fruits are sold on a weight basis only. Bananas and oranges are sold on a number basis. These fruits also will be sold as so many numbers for 100 rupees. But they will not use the word dozen. I don't whether these fruits are being sold on a dozen basis in some other places.

Though I am not active here, but certainly I remember ISC many times and particularly with the recent politics of Odisha I remembered your name and even gone through the election thread whether you have shared anything.

    Due to work pressure, I did not open ISC for the past 3 to 4 days. However today is 18th also a special date. 18-06-24 that is 18 plus 6 gives 24.
    The author casually points out this but really such dates are made to remember. Ex -Chief Minister of Tamilnadu Mr. M. G. Ramachandran's date of birth was 17-01-1917. Another CM Mm. Jayalalitha's date of birth was 24-02-1948.
