Is the job of a court judge quite difficult?

Every job is tough and requires hard work to do it correctly and precisely. One has to have the necessary knowledge, skills, and patience to complete it successfully.
I was just thinking about the job of a judge in a court and as per my perception I find that it is quite difficult. Law itself is a complicated subject and every lawyer will try to give points and arguments in favour of his client. In such a situation the judge has to be very knowledgeable to make out as what is what. Though the judges would seek evidence in every matter before accepting it but still there are many challenges in their work.
What are your views on that? Do you also feel that their job is quite difficult? Please share.

The author has taken up a very relevant point regarding the job of a judge. To deliver the right judgment, he has to be very attentive in taking care of all the points relevant in the case of the client. Keeping all the information in mind the client, and arguments advanced by both parties - the party of the client and the opposite, has to deliver the right judgment. Any error would cause severe punishment to the client.
Again for the same case, judgement will differ as we can see the same in the next hearing of the same case in the high court and supreme court.
All the clients are not rich enough to proceed to the higher courts. This aspect has to taken into consideration while awarding a punishment to a client in the lower court.

The court has only ears but no eyes. This is what all people say and that is true also. We will see the idol of God of justice in courts with a cloth covering the eyes. When we use our eyes and ears, we sometimes fail to understand the truth. Many times what we see may be proved wrong also. So it isn't easy to decide based on the discussions made by the lawyers. Another point is that a guilty person can escape punishment but no innocent person should get punished. I think this is a point followed by all judges. So it is very difficult for a judge to deliver the goods.
A judge should know all the laws and concerned rules and he has to see the judgements given by earlier judges in similar cases and then based on the facts and points presented by the lawyers, he has to make a verdict.
Because of this hard work only, I think, many of the court cases will be there pending for a long time. Justice delayed is justice denied. That is why I feel in many cases in India justice is denied.

The wording shows how difficult and incredibly responsible a judge's job is in administering justice. It emphasizes how important it is to pay close attention to every little detail and weigh all available information in order to reach a fair and just decision. The fact that later hearings in higher courts are mentioned illustrates the hierarchical structure of the legal system, where decisions are made based on many analyses and interpretations. The fact that access to higher courts is limited by financial means serves as a reminder of the significant influence that court rulings have on people's lives and the importance of ensuring fairness in the legal system.

Kavin, you have made a very valid observation that there are some people who due to financial constraints cannot approach the higher courts. So, in such cases even if the lower courts give a relief the opposite party can approach the higher court and the person who got the relief from lower court finds himself back to the square.

I also feel that the job of a judge is a difficult one but at the same time they have a good staff to give them requisite information and support. Moreover they do not have strenuous office hours like 9AM to 5PM. Further they work at their own pace and there are a large number of cases waiting in the queue.
It is said that the number of judges and number of courts in our country are too less when compared to the work load and that is quoted as the main reason of so many court cases pending in the country.
Anyway, law is a complicated territory and beyond the perception of a common man. In that context the job of a judge is not going to be a simple thing.

    Thoughts exchanged is knowledge gained.
