For going through the news which is your preference - newspaper or mobile phone?

Nowadays everything is available in the mobile phone. We can go through the news, we can listen music, we can see movies, we can join an online course, and we can do many other things of our interest.
For going through the news, I still find the newspaper a better choice than that of the mobile. It is quite convenient to me and after going through the paper I feel contended with the news and other information on that particular day. Whether I am not habitual of reading news in the mobile phone or whatever other reason I feel more comfortable with reading newspaper.
What about you? Do you also feel comfortable with the newspaper or for you it does not matter and you have no such preference? Please share.

I was a regular reader of the printed newspaper. I used to devote some time daily in the morning to reading the newspaper and that used to give me satisfaction that I was aware of the happenings around me. But during COVID-19, I stopped buying the print version of the paper and I started reading the news online. From that time, me onwards I continued reading the news on my mobile. As mentioned by the author I also feel happy only when I read the newspaper in total at a particular time. Reading a little information online will keep us informed about the happenings. When we read the news in bits and pieces we may not get that satisfaction. That is why what I am doing these days if any special issue is there, I am asking my driver to get me a hard copy of the paper and started reading that. I don't know I am restarting getting the newspaper daily. We may be requiring old papers for some or other usage in our houses. As we stopped purchasing printed papers, were purchasing old newspapers once in a while as per the need/

I find more satisfaction with the news printed in the newspaper though it might be old news by the time it reaches us. However, such news published in the papers is more reliable and authentic. Moreover, the editorial comments, to me, are very appropriate covering the views of the editor on some topic.
Mobile reports are sometimes not reliable since many a time, it does not carry authentic information. For the student community, it would be more appropriate to have a regular reading habit of English newspapers such as The Hindu, and the Times of India for updating their information and events for their preparations for the competitive tests.

In this 'biased environment', I discontinued reading News papers, watching TV debates and News. Yes, very honestly speaking. many News channels, regional channels in particular, have political affiliations.
Coming to the point of discussion on the main theme of the thread, I am mostly depending on mobile only and tuning to All India radio News in English, Hindi, Telugu and Oriya to get the quick information. i regularly browse webdunia.com, One India news etc to get quick updates.

    Regards,

As I am very much interested to go to libraries I used to read newspaper in different languages in library. If time do not permit to go to the library I sit with my mobile. It is very rare to sit before television for news channel. But in newspaper also I used to read the vernacular languages preferably as the news in different types we can read.

Many young people will prefer to use their mobile phones for viewing and reading the news items and that is becoming a trend today. But I am having a habit of reading newspaper and still very comfortable with it. I feel a type of fulfilment after going through the newspaper from start to end.
Mobile screen is smaller and it is inconvenient to read on that but yes, many activities we have to do on mobile only as that is the only way for accomplicing that online task. However, for log and strenuous work, I prefer to use a laptop.
Incidentally, I use some of the old newspapers also for other activities like crossword or going through an advertisement in details etc.

    Knowledge is power.
