Is that a really Government owned property or private in AP?

Built at a massive cost of some 500 crores. the sheer luxury of some fabulous buildings, reportedly at Vizag. built by Mr Jagan Mohan Reddy, was shocking to say the least. In a very poor country like India, this sort of a luxury is not warranted, even for a Government building.

Even today, when the rich keep on growing richer and are keen to watch the new Vande Bharat trains being inaugurated, no one even spares a single thought as to why the entire unreserved trains are not being run on several routes. We need dozens of such trains to cater to the masses and not merely Vande Bharat.

Similarly, we need far lesser luxury Government offices. The CMs should show the way. We had the former CM of Tripura who lead such a simple life and was very honest.

Now comes the clarification that the place was used as a residence as well. Even if this is true, should we have this kind of luxury, that seems to put all the best of India's five star or even seven star hotels to shame?

Earlier in that place there was a resort of AP tourism corporation. AP government led by Jagan took permission saying that this resort would be modernised to attract more tourists. All permissions were taken like that only. But the actual happenings are different. It is a building built at the cost of the government for CM to stay in whenever he comes to Vizag. In between some went to court. But by ignoring the court orders the government went ahead. They spoiled th appearance of Rushikonda Hill by building this building. Now after he lost the election recently the truths came out.
The past government led by Jagan took many loans and even took loans by pledging assembly buildings also, The pensioners and state government employees are not getting timely payments. In such a situation the funds are wasted for such a massive construction. A bathroom tub was imported from Italy which cost more than a lakh them and the total cost of a bathroom is reported to be more than a crore. Such rulers should not be left out and they should be punished by the concerned authorities.

This is a clear example of corruption by highly placed people that they are wasting the Govt money just like that for their personal luxury. Similar case was reported in Delhi and investigations in the matter are under process. If the top people are resorting to such practices then what can we expect from the employees working below. Would not they learn the same thing and misuse the power whatever little they have in their hands.
It is expected that the top people should present examples for others and keep a watch on the officials below so that no misuse of Govt money is done. But if the top people are themselves engaged in such things then we should forget about the progress of the country and welfare of the people, the slogans that these people often make.

    Knowledge is power.

Jagan Reddy Government has coined a three capital formula for the state of AP - Present Amaravati as Legislative capital, Visakhapatnam as Executive Capital and Kurnool as Judicial Capital. But the farmers who have donated their land for the capital of Andhra at Amaravati have fought relentlessly to continue the construction of the capital at Amaravati only. A legal battle between the Government and the pro-Amaravati supporters is pending with Hon'ble Supreme Court as High Court has directed the State Government to complete the Capital construction at Amaravati with a specific time line. Adamant Jagan Reddy Government continued its argument to go ahead with the formula and swearing-in ceremony to take place at Vizag if the YSRC Party returns to power. They announced the same in the Election manifesto. But TDP led NDA has a massive victory and the YSRCP was routed in the state.

This is the back drop of the story. Definitely it's a Government property, if we speak it in an unbiased way. You can't deny the fact that they have expended huge amount on the buildings as per the reports are coming in. But politics are such that if the other party does it, they would say it's development and they would comment other way round where the opponent is not in power. It's all in the game.

    Regards,
    Jagdish

I agree with Jagadish Patro that in Politics if one party makes a mistake the other party will try to expose it as a much bigger case. But in this case, we are all seeing the facts and even the court asked them to stop the work but the people in power did not do that. The judiciary should not leave the responsible and punish them so that such issues will never happen again.
