I am the first person to score today on this site

Generally, I come to this site after Noon only. By that time already some members will be getting logged in and logged out also. I will be a little busy in the mornings and so I come only in the afternoon.

Mohan a member who was contributing earlier used to log in at 4 or 5 AM. Some other members also log in the morning. But today when I opened the site at about 12.30 PM top contributors were not showing any names and points. That means nobody scored from the morning today.

So I think I am the first man to score. But by the time I post this somebody may post their thread.

No. I am not the first. Umesh posted a thread before 5 minutes I posted this thread. So Umesh is the first person to score today. Congratulations to Umesh.

Dr Rao thanks for the compliment and your observation. You generally post your content in the afternoon and this time you had done it a bit earlier as 12:30 PM is almost noon time.
Mohan was very particular and utilised his morning time for posting in forum. He was a stalwart and pillar of forum section and at that time I always found a post by him to respond. In fact during that time I did not post many forum posts as already there were so many to respond.
If Mohan comes back we will have ample forum posts to respond. I was amazed with his spontaneity.

You are correct Umesh. Mohan used to create a thread very easily. He used to complete his weekly quota almost every week. Nowadays we have no such member here. AB Sivakumar posts at least two threads but he is not regular.

As I mentioned in a thread at the start of the year, this is not really something to celebrate. I feel that while the forum at least has regained its vibrancy, fewer members are now rushing to come online to ISC and are likely first visiting the social media sites where they are more active. A couple of editors like me may be online checking out content and editing, but not posting anything.

Not only K Mohan, but there were others, too, who would pop into the forum or the AE section on a daily basis. We have been reaching out to alumni, but while some are not responding to communications, a few have mentioned that their work commitments are keeping them away.

Vandana, you are very right that there are few members and they also are not very regular in their activities. Few months back we had a low in forum section but now it is better and if the top 4-5 members continue their efforts I am sure that some others would also be motivated to increase their activities.

Editors might be busy in their routine work and if they can also spare some time for some duration for forum activities then probably we would be in a better shape. That might look too demanding from my side but I believe that you and 3-4 other editors are quite capable of doing that. I hope you give a thought to this suggestion. A little push from you and other editors for say a month would bring the desired improvement.

Many sites are facing similar problems but ISC has a unique model of actually paying to its members and that would help it to remain in the front.

    Thoughts exchanged is knowledge gained.

Dr. Rao Sir: You are the second person to score today. I submitted a Forum post early this morning and received 5 points; which was very graciously deleted by a particular Editor, because the quality was not found upto the mark.

I am now posting that write-up in another platform. I hope it would be popular there. I am saying this because earlier also that particular Editor deleted many of my posts, which I then submitted to other platform and those posts became hugely popular there.
