Why should we hurry by waiting till last moment?

When people are in a hurry they generally make mistakes and sometimes make serious and grave mistakes leading to disasters. It is said that hurry is to be avoided but many people do not adhere to this advice and err repeatedly.
Hurry is a cause of stress, accidents, and many other problems and most of the times it does not help in achieving the results in time.
Wise people do not hurry but do things well in advance to avoid any situation bringing hurry in their lives. What are your views on this? Why we should hurry by waiting till last moment when we have an option of planning the things well in advance? What do you think?

Waiting till the last minute to complete the work may have many reasons. If the work pressure is high, then such issues may crop up. Another reason may be laziness. The lazy people may think why attempt now? They wait till the last minute.
As mentioned by the author, chances are high to commit mistakes when you are in a hurry. One should have a plan of action. It may be official work or domestic work, we should have a plan for completing the tasks and we should follow the plan so that last-minute hurry can be avoided. Starting early, driving safely and reaching home on time should be the policy in all the issues. Never wait for the last minute, start early execute the plan and see that the work is completed well within time.
We are seeing sometimes some of the members of ISC post their responses at the last minute and sometimes in that process they are crossing the closing time and they are missing the bus.

Waiting till the last minute is the habit of many people. They remain under the impression that they have enough time to accomplish the task under their hands. In the meantime, they may think of some options fitting to the situation. what happens later is known to most of us. They forget the task since they are in the habit of keeping many jobs pending in a similar fashion.
The closing time of multiple jobs might coincide and in that situation, the probability of missing job is very likely. It will build extra tension in the defaulted to perform pending jobs within the deadline which cannot be materialised.
Hence all out efforts are to be made to take up the jobs within the period with a serious approach.

If a person is delaying an action for the last moment and then doing it hurriedly then it is a bad case of time management. If we cannot manage our time and cannot utilise it to do things well in advance then we would be a loser in the long run.
Many people are habitual of doing things in a hurry and then idle during the time they gain out of that. They forget that by doing so they lose many times as during the hurry they do a lot of mistakes leading to the failures.
I remember one incident in this context that I would like to share. A few years back I visited one of my relatives in Lucknow and on the day of my return I asked him at what time I should leave for airport. He told me that he had a driver and a car and I should go comfortably about 2 hours before the flight time as it took about 1 hour from there to reach the airport. I am by nature too cautious a person and never take chance with such things with such a tight margin so I added one hour to that and told him that I would be leaving by such and such time. So I
actually left 3 hours before the flight time. He was in the impression that it was 2 hours.
Anyway l left his residence and after half an hour the car broke down as one of the tyres was flat. The driver had a spare tyre but it had less air pressure. The road was the by-pass road and there was no help around. I just waited and after 15-20 minutes luckily got one three wheeler (tempo) which is a common vehicle in Lucknow and he gave us lift and took us to the main road from where we could get a cab or taxi for airport. All this took considerable time but the 1 hour that I added to the margin helped me to reach the airport in time.
The point is that we have enough time but we do not use it and then succumb to hurry.

    Knowledge is power.

Really it is a million dollar question. Many of us doing like this. Somebody in the mentality of time saving they do start very correctly without giving margin time for anything.
I used to give margin of time for anything in advance to avoid hurry or havoc etc., I used to go to the railway station or bus station in advance of half to one hour before departure of bus/train. My relatives used to mock me whether I am going for arranging everything in the station. One day my relative with his wife planned to go to New Delhi. For catching train of 7.00 pm GT express, he calculate and started by 6 .00 pm from his house which is 25 kilometers away. Due to some traffic diversion, they reached station by 7.05 by that time train went. They missed the train and cancel the subsequent train from New Delhi to Beas and face a good volume of cancellation charges.
Later he told me that my plan is correct.
Similarly I never pay any dues in the last minute but three days before the due date.
I am seeing many parents comes to the school for dropping their children very lately without starting or making to start early.
