In Vedas and Puranas killing a bad person made you a God incarnate

What we have seen in mythological series that a God incarnate usually is born to kill the bad person. We have already seen how Shri Krishna killed Kansa Mama (his mother's brother) just because he was a bad person. In the same way Lord Rama killed Ravana because it was the ultimate goal of his life. They earned glory because of their killing acts because it signifies that bad always loses in the end.

Nowadays, killing any bad person will land you jail because you have to prove that the person was actually bad. Nobody knows whether the person is bad or not, only evidences are needed to punish such people. In case the evidences are destroyed, the good person will land in jail for murder. If good always wins then why people good people are suffering today?

Such puranas and vedas depicts Rama and Krishna killing bad persons just to denote that we, human beings should never be a bad person and accordingly we have to pave our life style/pattern. In Cinemas we are seeing the villain and other evil doing subordinates are killed or beaten by the Hero, probably the hero turned as a police person or CID. But the moral is one in both our cinemas and veda and puranas. The author is right there should be some evidence. But even in Puranas there were evidences of their evil doings in a good volume, witnessed by presenting good personnel but they kept mum because of the danger come from such evil persons to them or their families.
In Ramayana, Vibeeshana and even Kumbakarna advised Ravana well in advance but because of his ego and wrong motion, he ruined himself and his total associates.
In Mahabharatha Drona, Bheeshma, Vidhura and salliyan are advising the Dhuriyodhana Group well in many times but Sakuni's evil advice overcome their good advices resulted in ruin.
The main moral of such epics are to keep the human with good thoughts.

A God incarnate will be coming to this earth to see that Dharma will be followed and people who follow Dharma will be successful finally. In establishing Dharma, they may be doing many things and killing a bad person is one such act. Krishna killed Kamsa even though he was his uncle. Here the relationship or friendship will not come into the picture. Kamsa was encouraging evil forces and he was doing evil acts. That is why he was killed. Lord Krishna protected Pandavas headed by Dharmaja who is the human version of Dharma. An incarnation of God will be on earth to protect people following Dharma and punish people who are going against Dharna. This is what was told by Lord Krishna himself in Bhagavad-gita to Arjuna.
Good and bad are relative and nobody can define them with certain boundaries. First of all, one should establish his credentials before deciding the other person is bad. All human beings are not Gods or God incarnations. As per Hindu mythology, a person may be good in this birth but he might have committed some sins in his earlier births and they may be suffering because of those acts now.

Killing a fellow human is a crime in modern world even if that person is a criminal. The main point of this thread is our Vedas and Puranas tells us stories where killing or beheading a fellow human being is a noble act if the person is bad. We are awaiting Kalki Avatar to eradicate evil from this kalyuga if we go by the scriptures. If we start taking scriptures seriously the whole world is going to end very soon. I haven't said anything objectionable against any religion. I am just trying to say that scriptures are invalid in today's world.
Humble yourself or life will do it for you!

Modern world is a civilized society and we can't compare the current era with the moral stories based on medievel times. During ancient times murdering someone was not a crime because only powerful people ruled the roost. They had the power to do anything and common poor people were just cannon fodder. They are moral stories told by ancient philosophers to tell everyone that one should never sway from the path of good deeds. Any person who commits a bad deed will ultimately get the punishment in due time. Although the current era is a civilized society but still there are people who are manipulating the system according to their benefit. I think time is a great leveller and it will teach everyone a lesson for sure.
    Thanks and regards.

Our ancient scriptures are full of stories of good winning over bad. The incarnation of God is there to kill the demon which was troubling everyone and could not be killed by the other kings or warriors. Every story in our scriptures is like that. It means that good and bad always existed in this world. They are there today also.
What we learn from our scriptures is that evil cannot live for long as some entity will rise to eradicate it. The fight between good and bad is a perpetual one. An evil power is killed but another is born so killing a bad person is not the end of bad in this world as it is simply the end of that particular bad person.
In modern world we cannot take law in our hands by killing a bad person. There is a legal system to punish the guilty and once it is proved that the culprit did a wrong thing then only punishment would be announced.

    Thoughts exchanged is knowledge gained.

I agree with Ramachandran #780554 that the depiction of good and bad and punishing the bad is only to preach us that we should be away from bad deeds. Otherwise there is no system of killing bad people in any society at any time. In some kingdoms Kings had the power to do that and they did it in the open courts sending a message to the bad people that they would face the same end if they resorted to bad practices.
In the present system the law says that no innocent should be punished. So law would ensure that the guilty did the offence and then only he would be punished. That is the reason that evidences are required in a court of law to prove that a person committed a crime.

    Knowledge is power.

Whatever is written in Puran is not acceptable. No civilised society would take such a stand to punish a person on the grounds of a person being a bad man. The same needs to be proved in a court where the lawyer would make every attempt to save a person proving his innocence for the case being tried in court.
We have a strange system of judgment where a murderer is exonerated in the absence of any evidence and an innocent person is entrapped due to poor performance of the lawyer. The judge sometimes becomes helpless in the process of awarding punishment due to absence of proper evidence.
