Shocking news about HIV cases in school/college students of Tripura

There is a shocking death of 47 students in Tripura due to HIV infection. It is believed that the students were drug addicts and they got the HIV from injections that they were using. Tripura is currently on a high alert because about 800 students have tested positive for HIV that means an AIDS epidemic is on the rise in Tripura state. The intravenous drug abuse is on a rampage in North eastern states and that's the main reason college/school going youth is getting these infections. It is a shame that parent send their children to college and universities to study and they are becoming drug addicts. Becoming a drug addicts is one thing but now they have turned it into an AIDS epidemic.

Drug addiction is a big problem today not only in our country but across the globe. There are people who want that our young generation should become drug addict so that they mint money by selling drugs to them. It is obvious that there are huge business ambitions and interests of people behind these evil programs.
There are many states in our country where these drugs are being made available in illegal ways. Punjab is one example. The drug mafias are said to be operating in border areas where smuggling of these chemicals is done by some local people.
The problem in Tripura is created by rampant drug abuse and people behind it are making huge profits.
Govt has to take bold and strict measures to catch these wrong doers and eradicate the drug menace in our country. This is not going to be an easy task as some mafias might be linked with some influential political leaders in our country. If it so then they will get protection from the actions on them.
More awareness is required in this regard among the citizens to understand the actual problem and its source and keep a watch and control on their youngsters.

We are hearing the stories of drug abuse time and again and inspite of Govt efforts to nab the culprits there seems no end to this menace.
The young people in our country are the favourite targets of the companies making these drugs and it is said that international mafias are operating these drug distributions. Once addicted the young people remain in its clutches. It spoils their lives and careers but drug is a thing that is being bought by people at any price.
Once a person is under the spell of drugs then it is very difficult to rehabilitate him. When drug is not given to him the person becomes restless and even becomes aggressive and asks for it.
It is a sad matter that this drug abuse has costed so many lives in Tripura. Govt has to step up the efforts to eradicate drug menace that is simply killing the innocent young people in our country.

    Thoughts exchanged is knowledge gained.

Certainly a very shocking news because already north eastern states are lagging behind in development and now Tripura is under such condition. Most of the bordering states in India are having this problem of drug addiction. It looks like a plan by foreigners to destroy Indian youth of bordering states. How can so many youngsters get affected by AIDS is beyond any imagination. It looks like HIV virus is deliberately planted among youths of the state through infected injections. All in all I think youths of this nation must follow strict rules to avoid any further contamination from infected people. Using injections after sterilization is absolutely necessary to avoid any such infections. Even after buying sealed pack injections one should boil is at high temperatures before using. You never know what kind of things are going around in this country. We have to be extra careful nowadays.
    Thanks and regards.

Very unfortunate and unimaginable. I think the main problem is with the parenting. Many parents these days think that earning money and creating comforts for their children is their primary responsibility. They never give time to their children and never see how they are spending their time. Parents should spend quality time with their children and teach them the importance of morals and ethics.
Educational institutions are supposed to be temples of learning. But when we hear that such things are happening in educational institutions, we may not be able to digest the same. Drug addiction is becoming more popular in the student community and they are going to any extent to get these drugs. Unfortunately, some politicians are supporting such activities. Many stories about drug abuse are heard in both Telugu states
The administration should not have any lenient view on such matters and proper actions should be initiated to control such activities. Otherwise, we will hear many such issues.
