    Morning melody at our residence

Every morning, our home comes alive with a symphony of sounds which creates a serene and comforting environment. The day begins with the gentle chirping of birds, their melodies floating through the air. The sound of pigeons adds a peaceful rhythm, reminding us of nature's presence even in the heart of New Delhi.

The 'drip-drop' sound of water from the tap is a gentle reminder of the quiet moments before the day fully awakens. This soothing background noise blends harmoniously with the subtle rustling of the breeze as it flows through the leaves of the giant mango tree in our garden. Mango leaves dance in the wind, adding a whispering undertone to the morning orchestra.

As the newspaper vendor cycles through our block, the ring of his bell adds a lively note to the morning's melody. It is a familiar and somewhat comforting sound, marking the start of the day with a sense of normalcy.

Inside our home, the atmosphere becomes pleasantly devotional by the soulful strains of Bengali and Hindi devotional songs being played softly on my laptop. These spiritual tunes, coupled with my wife's gentle prayers, create a profound sense of peace and serenity. It brings more tranqulity in the pleasant morning.

Together, these sounds form a beautiful morning symphony that envelops our home, bringing joy, peace and a deep sense of connection with the Almighty.

(I attempted this for the 'Melody' contest, but did not post it because of my continuing tussle with a member and an editor at that time.)

The author has well knitted the various musical elements as perceived by him during the morning hours in his house in Delhi.
Music is the great enabler of our moods and helps us in keeping calm and serenity of our minds. Morning hours are said to be the spiritual hours when most of the people prefer to pray God for everything that He had given them.
When we are near the nature and adore it then nature also reverberates with us and a synchronised melody is generated. That is the usefulness of music in our lives.

    Partha,

Requesting you to please stop putting needless footnotes in parentheses at the end of your forum threads and responses, and avoid giving excuses for not submitting a contest entry/participating in a discussion. Blaming other members and editors is not a nice thing to do, not to mention repeatedly harping about your busy work schedule. Everyone is busy! We all come in here when we have the time, isn't it?

    Height of misinterpretation!

In this particular post, I never talked about paucity of time. In fact, last week, I was relatively free and so I could write some meaningful write-ups in ISC and also elsewhere. For example, I wrote a good write-up on Amrita Sher-Gill which gave me immense satisfaction, and I shared the write-up with some of the members of ISC.

Here, I have not blamed others also. I wanted to mean that due to my volatile mood I did not submit this write-up for the contest.

Nature is very kind to us bestowing its facilities on us and we are benefited to a great extent. Who does not like the cool breeze in the morning, the rains in the rainy season, sun rays in winters, long walks in the green areas, and many other activities in the lap of nature?
Those who observe these things minutely are in resonance with it and that is when they feel that music is echoing from all around in that natural habitat.
Some people have very simple lifestyle and they remain attached to the nature and enjoy it's bliss. They are the lucky ones chosen to hear the divine music.

    Thoughts exchanged is knowledge gained.

A nice post from the author. I am happy to note that even in a place like New Delhi there are pigeons. Nowadays in Hyderabad, early in the morning, we are not able to see any birds even though we have trees in front and at the back of our house.
In our house, my wife starts hearing devotional sons while she is working in the kitchen and I will in our pooja room where I will be performing my daily prayers. So the atmosphere will be very melodious at that time. But slowly other people in the house get up and we will experience a different atmosphere altogether.
A daily routine of all people will pick up and all will be minding their preparations and the early morning peaceful atmosphere will vanish. Only after everybody settles in their works we will have a peaceful atmosphere in our house.

    Partha,

Please read my response again. Did I mention the reference to being busy for this particular contest? I was clearly mentioning it in reference to your other responses where the remark is repeatedly made ("When I have time I will come back to this", "I could not post a response due to my busy schedule" etc etc). I also well understood what you meant about the excuse for not participating in this contest, but under the veil of sarcasm, you do make direct barbs.

Let's leave it, please. We've both expressed our irritation (smiling) so let's get back to the topic of this thread.

I did like your write-up, and I think quite a few members may be experiencing the jugalbandi of the same melodies that you have mentioned, namely, birds, leaves, taps dripping, bicycle bells, and devotional songs. It is indeed wonderful to wake up to such sounds.
