What is the source of this immense energy in the universe?

Universe is a big space in which there are clusters of galaxies and each galaxy is consisting of millions of stars (like the Sun in our solar system which is a star and we get its light) and these stars have their own planetary systems. As per the scientific studies everything in the universe is in motion. The planets are revolving around their respective star like Earth, Mars, Venus, Jupiter, and other planets are revolving around Sun. The solar system is moving within the galaxy and then the galaxy (our galaxy is Milky way) is also moving. It is also studied that all these massive entities in space are moving away in the space and presently the universe is in expanding phase.
We do not know till what time this expansion would happen and some scientists believe that expansion would stop one day and the universe might start contracting and coming back to the initial state.
Are you aware of these theories about the universe? What is the source of this immense energy with which these bodies in the universe are moving? Any ideas to share?

I feel the energy comes from these stars only.
We all know that almost all energy to the earth comes from the Sun through heat and light. Some of the energy radiating from the Sun to the earth will be reflected by water droplets and dust particles that are present in the atmosphere. It may get back to space or scattered through the atmosphere. Some energy may get absorbed by the cloud. Some energy may be absorbed by the Ozone layer. Whatever is left over that energy will be reaching the surface of the earth. This energy that reaches the earth will reach in the form of heat.
There are many galaxies and all galaxies will have some stars and these stars will transfer energy in the form of electromagnetic waves to the planet. This energy that is reaching the earth is useful for human beings to continue their living here.

Dr Rao, you have nicely explained one part of it that is the energy of a star (like our Sun) reaching Earth and making life possible to survive for humans and animals. Same thing is true for other similar solar systems and their planets.
But the point here is the immense energy with which these cosmic bodies are moving in the universe. What is the source of this tremendous energy that is propelling the planets, stars, galaxies, etc to move with such high speeds. The planets are rotating as well as revolving around their respective Suns and the whole solar system inside the galaxy is moving along with the galaxy with high speed. The energy which is doing it is the mysterious energy present in the universe.
Scientists have to find out the source of this energy.

In all these stars nuclear fusion reactions will be taking place continuously. A nuclear fusion reaction is a chain reaction and it will continue on its own. The hydrogen atoms that are present in the atmosphere of these stars will combine through this nuclear fusion reaction and helium will form. This fusion reaction releases a lot of energy that is available to the stars. They will move with this energy to move around the orbits. This is what I read somewhere about the energy of stars. If they are not moving in the orbit there is a chance the entire system may collapse and all stars will get into the crust. That is why these stars will be under rotation by overcoming the gravitational forces. That is what I read some time back about stars and their energy sources. Some energy will be reaching Earth in the form of electromagnetic forces.

It is a mystery for everyone and nobody knows what is driving this universe. We can just postulate theories but don't have any concrete evidences to say anything regarding the universe and its existence. If we look at our solar system where a sun is the source of immense energy that is driving life on earth. If there will be no sunlight, there will be no plants and no food for people. Sunlight is the source of energy that is essential for life on earth and once sunlight disappears, everything will be under ice age. Some countries are even trying to make an artificial sun that will fulfill all their energy needs. Out of many planets orbiting sun in our system, there is only earth where living beings can survive. We are lucky to have earth but people are busy destroying it.
Humble yourself or life will do it for you!

Ajay Gupta, I agree with your view that the source of immense energy driving the universe is still a mystery. The scientists are doing research to find an answer to this question but so far there is no significant progress in that regard.
The theory of big bang says that the universe was generated from a single point with huge explosions and expansions but there is no conclusive proof for that.
The interesting thing about the universe is that it is huge but the cosmic bodies are spaced at a large distance from each other resulting in a very large void space in between. Another thing is that force of gravity is a significant force for the large heavenly bodies and these are far off but tied to each other. None of them can escape from that framework.

From the scientific data it is found that universe is presently in expanding mode which means that galaxies are moving apart and speeding up to the deep of the void space. Scientists believe that eventually this expanding mode will come to an end and the galaxies will start coming back. As this will be happening in a very long time scale so it is not easy to calculate when the universe will come to a compact stage. Another thing is that even if it comes back to a compact stage what will be the size of that compact stage is not known.
It is also believed that once it reaches that compact stage than another cycle of expansion would restart.
For all practical purposes the time scale of those processes is very very large beyond our comprehension. But that explains the momentum of the heavenly bodies in the universe.
As relentless research in this area is going on it is possible that we would have some other more convincing theory about the universe and the motion of heavenly bodies inside it in the coming times.
