Street dog menace is increasing day by day

Having dog as pet animal in houses are increasing nowadays. Besides this the street dogs also increasing in almost all streets of all cities. This become dangerous to children and elders as anything.

Most of the children playing in the streets, both playing with them by offering some eatables and on the other side some children as well elders going in two wheelers and cycle are teasing the street dogs. In turn they bark and chase whenever they see the boys or cycle/two wheeler driving persons. This makes frightening in other passerby people.

In some houses parents are encouraging the children to play with the street dogs as if they could quench their thirst of having pet animals in the house.

Besides the bite of such street dogs also increasing day by day in all cities. Parents should very careful on their children moving or playing in the road or street.

Street dogs are very dangerous especially during night hours. One has to be very careful when walking through an isolated street during night. They just attack anyone they see and it can be dangerous if they bite because such dogs are usually not vaccinated. One has to get rabies injections if such dogs bite us. Not only rabies but you can even get some other disease because street dogs usually roam outside with no hygiene. Many of the street dogs carry dangerous infectious diseases and children should never be allowed to play with them. Government need to make sure that such dogs are fully vaccinated because they can bite anyone on the street.
    Thanks and regards.

A sensible citizen must protect his family at all costs. These days, we notice the dog - menace at different locations especially in the night hours. The dogs move freely here and there and all of a sudden, they can bite without providing any indication. Since the dogs are not properly immunized by the administration, biting such dogs could be life-threatening.
In the early years of my life, I could see a sincere effort of gram pradhan to take care of the welfare of a village. They keep the population of stray dogs in check with the proper mechanism. Vaccination - the process of dogs was in practice but now nothing happened like that.
We should not allow our kids to play with the street dogs since the dogs can be violent at any moment which cannot be predictable for most of us.

This is a big problem for many places in our country. These dogs are creating many problems for the people going on foot in the streets. There is a road next to my house in our colony. There are trees on that road. These street dogs will get gathered on that road. They bark loudly and threaten any new dog that comes that way and small children will also get threatened and they will not go that way. Even on the nights, these dogs make unnecessary noise and create problems for people.
When we see such crowds it is better to walk slowly with a stick in the hand so that these dogs will never try to come near to us. One should not try to run. Teasing street dogs is not good. We should not mind them and carry on. Otherwise, they start running behind us. How to eliminate this problem is not known and even if we leave them far away, they somehow manage to come back.

Animal lovers are feeding the stray dogs in their areas and these animals are somehow surviving. The dogs will recognise the people who are feeding them and will show their gestures and gratitude by moving their tails from one side to another.
If they find a new person just ignoring them and going on one's way these dogs sometimes become aggressive.

    Thoughts exchanged is knowledge gained.

The number of stray and Street dogs in our country is very large. Yesterday it was raining and I went down to the ground floor of my building for some work and I found that 6-7 Street dogs where sitting in the ground floor varanda in my building and same thing is happening in so many buildings adjacent to our building. So we can just imagine their numbers in a town or city, especially in market areas where food stalls and eateries are there. It is a big challenge to manage these animals. Is there a way? If so then municipality or local administration should take up this challenge and resolve it.
    Knowledge is power.

It surely is a menace and you can't just avoid such situations. Such incidents usually happen with everyone because once in a while we always walk through a lonely street with many street dogs ready to pounce. During my childhood when I used to go for a walk or jogging in early morning such street dogs were always there to welcome us. Some street dogs were well mannered but some behaved very strangely and some were very aggressive. It was terrifying when aggressive dogs charge at you while walking through a lonely street. You can not avoid to show them your back and have to push them or they will bite you.
Humble yourself or life will do it for you!
