I am indirectly discouraged to write articles/Forum posts on history. My valuable posts on history (written with utmost dedication and after studying lots of documents) are brutally and mercilessly butchered, i.e. deleted by ISC editors.

I hope you have better luck.

As per the earlier posts and information, I believe ISC will accept articles on general subjects including history, provided they are informative and per the guidelines given by the site for submitting an article. So you can go ahead I feel.

History is an important subject and articles related to it provide a lot of knowledge and wisdom to understand the present situations in a better way. What percentage of history articles submitted would be published is to be decided by the site admin under the overall policy framework. I don't think they would accept so many articles on that subject. ISC is still primarily an education (admissions, courses, institutes, etc) site.

ISC is an educational platform and history is also like education for newer generation. So, they shouldn't have any problem with such content but at the moment website is going through a tough period and they might not experiment much with their content. From the previous forum messages I have noticed that after allowing general content in forum the revenue declined suddenly and revenue share bonus has been stopped. It looks like Google algorithms doesn't like websites with general content and rank only those websites which offer specialised niche content.
    Thanks and regards.

    Swati Sarnobat,

Please refer to Tony sir's response in your previous post Posting articles of general category. There, he clarified that articles that can add value to ISC will be accepted.

    Hi Swati,

Any article which has a long term value, are evergreen and can generate revenue on a regular basis are generally considered as valuable for a website. Remember, your article should be specific to a particle subject. Rather than writing about 2 to 3 different historical events, write an article on 1 specific topic. This reduces the competition and also removes the general nature of an article.

Try to write about a topic in a topic. For example Architecture in Mughal Dynasty, Poetry from the Tang dynasty.

Then write in details about the information about that particular topic. When it comes to history, people who look for detailed information come on to history based articles. So make sure you provide in depth information for the article. IndiaStudyChannel says provide 1000 to 1500 words of rich content for the article.

Provide your own analysis and inference for the article. This step brings authority to your article. Rather than simply giving information already present on the internet and in the books, provide your insight to the article. Give proper headings to the article which state what is present on the internet and what is your inference. A simple heading like "My views" or "My Analysis" would be sufficient.

To summarize, try to create an article which has a comprehensive coverage of the topic. Whenever possible try to create images. You may want to use AI tools to create images and provide courtesy link as to from where the image was generated. History articles are better appreciated when provided with present day maps, but with courtesy links and descriptions.

Lastly, I would suggest of making use of modern tools like Gemini and Krutrim to do a good research on the topic. And present the same in your own words.

In the end, if you are looking to gain cash credits from the article, do keep a note that given the current downtrend of online businesses, cash credits may be low. If you are looking for Google AdSense Revenue generation, things are tight and revenue generation may be low.

But if you are looking to contribute to IndiaStudyChannel's growth, your articles would contribute to the website in the long run. Every penny counts in today's competition created by Search Engines and online presences.

    Swati Sarnobat,

I would advise you not to post articles about historical events or other aspects that are not going to add any value to the site. You mentioned that you would submit them as part of the syllabus category. which means that it will be general information which is available on thousands of other sites. As hinted by Dr Apurva, only if a detailed critical analysis is done like that of a research scholar, then perhaps it may be considered. Naturally, we do not encourage using AI tools and you would need to give your own original analysis.
