Leaders won't spend their day blaming others - Tim Waltz

Just I was watching the address by the Vice Presidential candidate Tim Waltz at the National Democratic convention in Chicago. It was quite motivational and inspiring and there was a big applause when he said, 'leaders won't spend their day blaming others".

What he said is quite true. It always happens in every sphere of life, we blame our predecessors and spend much of our time by pinpointing where they went wrong or even go on harping how thee system got disturbed during their time. It is not a good quality of a leader, instead, he should focus on the priorities and proper execution of his ideas. isn't it?

But these blame games have become a big way to criticize opposite political parties. One party leader says the other party leaders are responsible for the problems. This has become a habit. The EX CM of AP Jagan says the ruling party in AP headed by Naidu is a failure. This remark comes within one month of Babu taking over as CM. We see such comments in many places.

What the Vice Presidential candidate of the US mentioned in his address is very correct. There is no use in blaming others as a leader. He has to think about how to manage things now and what his priorities are and start working in that direction. Then only one will get the results. How to be successful should be the aim but not how to defend our failures.

Not only in politics, in companies, offices and other areas also we find people blaming others for their failures. Some leaders try to show that they are very efficient but the inefficiency of others is only the reason for failures.

Making excuses and blaming others is a common practice these days because ordinary people become leaders through crooked ways. We all know how money is being used to win elections in India. What can you expect from such people? They can't win by working for the people, instead they do it either by negative politics or through crooked ways. Good leaders don't have that crooked mentality and they usually don't become leaders these days.

This is unfortunate that many leaders are passing their time in blaming others and gathering the sympathy of public or their followers. This is a bad trait but some of them are getting advantage out of it. It is obvious that those who are blaming others are themselves to be blamed because they are hiding their voices behind the screen of blame game.

What the author is trying to emphasize is that we are efficient in blaming others for our failures and this is applicable in all the areas of our work be it a political field or otherwise. In that sense, the vice presidential candidate of the US is very correct. It was apt advice that the leaders should not pass their time blaming others but they should carry out constructive activities. The statement is great but how long this is sustainable even if they highlight such statements?
We have our operational activities in the offices, workshops, and industries where the scene is entirely blaming others for their failures. They openly came out with a statement that they did not secure the due support of the top bosses to get the project materialised despite their honest efforts. In that sense, we Indians don't lag others.

A good leader will never blame others. A good leader does not have time for such wasteful activities. He is always busy in his work of nation building and national progress. He is a team leader and has to work as per the objectives of the team.
Some leaders unfortunately engage themselves in blaming others instead of focusing on their own work. That is actually in bad taste. They simply do it to distract the attention of people to other things.

    Thoughts exchanged is knowledge gained.
