    Homecoming: I am back to IndiaStudyChannel. Seeking guidance to get started again.

    Hello ISC Family,

    I'm back on IndiaStudyChannel after a long time, and it feels like coming home.

    I have enjoyed forum discussions and received several credits and rewards of appreciation in the past from this site. And there is really no experience which I can recall as bitter. I had to stop coming to the portal as I was occupied with life issues and responsibilities. But now, I wish to make a proper comeback to our second home. (Old members may resonate with this feeling)

    (I can't recall all the names but I remember Vandana Mam from the editorial team, Super contributor Sun, and several other peers who were the stars of ISC. I missed you all)

    Since things might have changed, I'd really appreciate some help from experienced members.

    Can you let me know how I can contribute, what earning opportunities are available, and any new guidelines I should follow?

    Welcome back. Yes as you said, there are many changes on this site. I suggest you go through the pinned threads at the top of the forum index and also help topics so that you will understand the present status of the site and the changes that are taking place. Vandana is the Managing Editor now. For the last 10 days, she has not come online. Otherwise, she was the most active editor and member of this site. Another 2 or 3 Editors are only active. As you go through the sections, you will understand what is happening here.
    Members like you are the need of the hour. It is glad that you decided to come back. Start contributing as per your choice and wish you a long journey on this site. Many old members discontinued and only a few members are regular here. The number should increase and good content should be posted on this site. Hope this will happen shortly.

    Ani Arya, welcome back to this educational portal. There have been some changes and you can go through the pinned forum posts in the beginning of the forum to get a feel of that.
    You can contribute in Knowledge Centre, Articles, Information Updates, Institutes, etc and earn as per your content.
    Knowledge is power.

    Sir, I came to know that we can still contribute articles, are these articles now restricted to only academic topics regarding a course or college? Or can we still write articles on almost any topic? I hope you or someone else will inform me regarding this also.

    You can also submit articles related to other subjects but prefer education and related fields. You can submit one article following all the guidelines and wait for the outcome. All the best to you.

    Welcome back, Ank Arya.

    You were an active general forumite and also contributed to various sections.
    ISC had undergone a number of changes and re-orientations in the interregnum . As of now ISC appears(from the announcements coming from ISC establishment) passing through a crisis of lack of revenue resulting from lack of reach.

    Many erstwhile active ISCians had either left or remain in deep sleep for various reasons. Keeping a positive outlook, let us hope that re-entry or homecoming by ISCians like you can bring in new vigour and vitality and lift the present sullen state of ISC.

    Ank Arya, welcome back! Glad to note some old members returning. As said by Dr Rao, there are some changes that have taken place in ISC. Please go through the red pinned threads in the forum index to know more. I suggest you start contributing to the different open sections and also the relatively new Knowledge Center section. There is no need to feel at loss because of the changes because ISC is still the same old friendly site. I hope you will remain associated with this site from now and look forward to your contributions. All the best!

    You are correct ISC is like our home. Recently when I raised a thread after a break then and there, a member recalled my earlier thread where I have mentioned ISC as my virtual home.

    For me I have not bothered about money in this site and I have mentioned my inability in my other thread how it is difficult in typing via phone.

    Welcome and contribute here again.

    Welcome home! It is always good to see an ISCian's enthusiastic return. I have been away for a brief while due to some personal work and will be irregular this week as well. I think through the red-pinned threads at the top of the forum and responses here, you will have understood some of the new features and policies and if still in doubt, raise a thread with the specifics to get further clarity.

    You mentioned Sun. Sadly, we lost some of our members, including Sun. The others are Ramakrishna Kambhampati, Ravi Shankar, Anamika Raj, and T.M.Sankaran.

    Regarding your query about articles- We have opened up the section to articles which are outside the niche of education and academics, but only if the topic has some value to ISC will it get approved. Generally, avoid topics which are covered extensively on our site and other sites. It helps to have regular contributions to articles related to admissions, careers, best educational institutions on a niche stream/course, etc but unfortunately, we've got very little support, frankly, from members. There are hardly one or two regular contributors now even though we continue to give good cash credits for quality articles.

    One thing to note- please avoid posting comments to posts of spammers in the Social Hub (or if they come up in the forum). Just ignore them.

    By the way, you need not address me formally as "Ma'am".
