The Paris Olympics are over, and India did not perform up to the desired level. Now, it's the Paralympics, where our Indian para-athletes will take on the world in events like Archery, Javelin Throw, Badminton, Table Tennis, Judoka, Shooting, and many more. In the previous Tokyo Paralympics, India clearly surprised everyone with its performance and won a record number of Gold medals.

Now, it's the Paris Paralympics 2024, where a record number of Indian para-athletes are participating. Let's support them so they can perform excellently and bring laurels to our country. All the best to our para-athletes!

In the last Paralympic games held in Kobe, Japan, Indian players did a good job securing sixth position. Let us hope that in the Paris version also our players would earn good number of medals.
I wish the Indian players all the best in these games.

    Knowledge is power.

    Umesh Sir,

Last Paralympics was held in Tokyo. It is a rule to conduct Paralympics after the Olympics at the same venue. Paralympics is specially conducted for physically and intellectually disabled sportspersons. It was Para Athletics Championship that was conducted at Kobe, which is a different event.

India last time at Tokyo Paralympics won 5 Gold medals, which is the best performance ever. Para-athletes like Avani Lekhara, Devendra Jhajharia, Sumit Antil, Manish Narwal, and Pramod Bhagat won Gold medal in their respective event. This time the contingent is even bigger than last time and surely our para-athletes won't disappoint this time too. Best of luck to them!

    Thanks and regards.

In badminton Suhas Yathiraj, Tarun Dhillon, and Sukant Kadam have won their respective group matches today. In archery ranking round is going on in mixed team and individual archery events. More badminton matches are still to come later in different categories. The way these athletes overcome their physically and intellectual disability to participate in these games is amazing to see. It tells us that we should never stop pursuing our hobbies.
Humble yourself or life will do it for you!

India is progressing well eventhough so far no medal is in its account. Sheetal Devi broke the world record and obtained 2nd position in the archery individual ranking. We have to watch her in the finals now. I wish Sheetal Devi all the best.

India has opened the account with two medals today. Avani Lekhara has won Gold and Mona Agarwal Bronze in 10m Air Rifle SH1 shooting event. Korean won the silver medal and once it was looking like Korean was going to take the Gold but in the end Avani Lekhara performed well under pressure. So, it is a good news for India and once again the Golden girl is Avani Lekhara, she had also won a Gold in previous edition. She becomes one of the greatest Paralympians of all time from India.
Humble yourself or life will do it for you!

Avani Lekhara has created history by winning back to back Gold medals. She becomes the first Indian athlete (Paralympian or Olympian) to win consecutive Golds. For the first time ever two Indians were on the podium and Indian national anthem was played at Paralympics. Congrats to Avani Lekhara and Mona Agarwal!
    Thanks and regards.

It has been a fantastic day for India so far with 4 medals added to the tally. 1 Gold, 1 Silver and 2 Bronze. Manish Narwal missed the Gold medal this time to Korean shooter. Preethi Pal won bronze in 100m race.

I was watching the shooting match of Avani Lekhara and Manish Narwal and noticed that they are no way lesser than any other Olympians. The way they score 10.5 and above consistently in Rifle shooting shows that they are no lesser athlete. They deserve the same kind of applause from people because they are competing at international level.

The same way in Archery, where Rakesh Kumar was shooting 10s despite heavy rains pouring during the match. It requires skills to do that and these athletes are performing at international level for their country.

Humble yourself or life will do it for you!

Indian team is doing well in this tournament. Already there are 4 medals. India is in 17th place in the list with 1 gold, 1 silver and 2 bronze medals. Sheetal Devi, the world's only armless archer, and Sarita will participate in the knockout rounds. Hope we will get further medals today and make us more proud.

When our sports persons get medals in international matches and games then it is a matter of great happiness and proud for all of us. I congratulate all these sports persons who are doing a lot of hard work and bringing glory to our country.
    Thoughts exchanged is knowledge gained.

Paralympians have always made India proud and I think they are mentally more stronger because of the tragedies they have faced in their life. It is clearly visible that Indian Paralympians are performing better under pressure and winning more medals for India.

Avani Lekhara has already made India proud by getting Gold twice. Even Sheetal Devi has created world record in para archery compound event during ranking round. She is well positioned to win if she performs with the same excellence in coming matches. They are already winners for me because they are pursuing their skills even after facing adverse life situations.

    Thanks and regards.

It is certainly a great achievement that our players are showing their talents in their areas of interest. If we observe the performance of Avani Lekhara and Manish Narwal, it is indicative of their passion for leading the prizes.
Our players have done exceedingly well and have won many medals to make us proud.

Nishad Kumar won a silver medal in the Men's High Jump T 47. Rubina Francis won a Bronze medal in Shooting (Women's P2 10-metre air pistol SH1). and Preethi Pal won a Bronze medal. Nitesh Kumar has won Gold in Badminton SL3 category and now India has for 2 Golds, 3 Silver, and 4 Bronze. Already 9 medals and more to come today. There are two Gold medal matches more scheduled today in Badminton and some Bronze medal matches too. Congratulations to our Paralympians who are performing excellently on international stage.

Yesterday was one of the greatest day for Paralympics Archery where an armless Archer from USA won Gold medal in compound archery. He created a Paralympics record in compound archery by scoring 149 out of 150 possible points. For India Rakesh Kumar missed Bronze medal by 1 point. The level of archery was so high that world number 1 Rakesh Kumar failed to win a medal.

Yesterday was a record breaking day for Indian Paralympics as para athletes won 8 medals in a single day. 2 more Gold medals added in Badminton and Javelin Throw that helped India to jump high in medals tally to 15. Other medals came in Discus throw, Archery, T200m race, and badminton.

Sheetal Devi finally got a bronze medal mixed team event along with Rakesh Kumar. I expected this team to win Gold with the quality they have but they lost semi-final due to some partial judgement by the referees. In the Bronze medal match they defeated the Italian team to finally have a medal in archery.

    Thanks and regards.

In the late evening, India bagged another 5 medals taking its medal tally to 20. Now India has achieved its best-ever tally in these games. 3 Gold, 7 silver and 10 bronze. Yesterday's excellent performance by the country's track and field athletes made it to get the best-ever medal tally. We should appreciate the efforts of these players and they should be honoured suitably. Well done. As of now, India is placed 19th in the list of medals.

India now has 24 medals and stands at 13th place in the medals tally. With 5 golds they have already surpassed previous Tokyo Paralympics performance.

For the first time in history India has won a Gold medal in recurve para archery. We still have a mixed event in archery left for today. Yesterday was a fantastic day with 2 Golds, one in archery and other in club throw for Dharambir. Another Indian para athlete Pranav Soorma got silver in club throw.

Now India has come to 13th position in medals list. The Indian players so far bagged 5 Gold, 9 silver and 10 Bronze medals. This is the first time India won so many medals in these games. The medal count for India has further increased with a Gold medal today. India currently stands at 14th position with 6 Golds, 9 Silvers, and 11 Bronze medals. So today 26 medals until now with few more events left. Last time in Tokyo Paralympics, India got 19 medals. The record is clearly broken and history created at Paris by Indian Paralympians. They deserve a standing ovation for sure when they arrive home. Not many would have expected a top 15 finish but it is a reality now.
    Thanks and regards.

The performance of our para athletes is commendable and they have done what we expected from our Olympians. Indian national anthem getting played for 6 times in Paris is a great achievement for sure. Let's hope the medal count increases to 30 which will be another great moment. A contingent of 84 athlete winning close to 30 medals is an excellent performance that nobody would have imagined before the start of the Paralympics.

This is an excellent achievement. 6 gold medals, 9 silver medals and 12 bronze medals. Very impressive. So far it is 27 medals. Further, there is a chance to get 2 or 3 medals. India is in the 18th position in the medals list. China is leading.

There is an addition of 2 more medals to India's total. Now total medal tally is 29 with 7 gold medals, 9 silver medals and 13 bronze medals. Javelin thrower Navdeep Singh struck an unparalleled gold in the F41 classification and visually impaired sprinter Simran clinched the women's 200m (T12) bronze on Saturday. Congratulations to both of them. Our country is in 15th position in the overall standings, China is in the first position with 208 medals, Their tally of gold medals is 90. I don't know whether there is any chance for one more medal that takes the total to 30. Well done India and we are very happy with your performance in this tournament.

Yes, it is heartening to see another Gold medal added to India's account at the Paralympics. Congrats to Navdeep Singh and Simran Sharma for winning medals in their respective event. 7 Gold medals and a total of 29 medals is definitely a stupendous achievement.

It was a controversial event at Paris Olympics where Iranian Javelin thrower was disqualified after finishing the event in Gold medal position. Navdeep's Silver got upgraded to Gold after the disqualification of the Iranian Javelin thrower. He was disqualified because he was waiving a black flag with Arabic inscriptions. According to Paralympic Committee athletes can't use any other flag other than their country's national flag. He was warned twice for this act before the final disqualification came.

    Thanks and regards.

The Paris Paralympic Games 2024 concluded on Sunday. Pooja Ojha is the final athlete in action. She failed to qualify for the women's kayak 200m. She bowed out of the competition. As a result, India's medals tally at the Paris Paralympics ended at 29 -- seven golds, nine silvers and 13 bronze, This 2024 version is the most rewarded campaign for the country. India stood at the 18th position in the points table. This is an excellent performance by the participants and my congratulations to all the participants who took part in this tournament.

Congrats to Indian Paralympic team for a memorable performance. They have achieved something which would have been considered impossible about 15 years back. Until the Tokyo Paralympics, not many in India knew that Paralympics also exist. There were not many medals to show too but now Indian Paralympics team is ranking among top 20 nations. Let's congratulate them and hope that our Olympians too perform like them in future.
