Had you aproached a bank for a loan and what was your experience

Most of us would have approached a bank or some lending institution for some loan or financial assistance for some purpose.
While we go with a lot hope and expectations, the response and reaction and even the final outcome may be different. It could have been a very smooth and comfortable experience and outcome. It could have ben just a polished promise, but later on we were put to lots of drag on or difficulties before getting some part amount sanctioned etc.

What were your experience? What lesson did you learn from such experiences?

No. I took a house loan in 2005, But afterwards, I never approached a bank for any loan. But both my sons took Hiuse loans from SBI and HDFC Bank. Their experiences are good. The bank staff attended them well and saw that the loan will be sanctioned at the earliest. After submitting all the papers, they took 5 days to get their land sanctioned.

Of late private banks are liaison with medical institutions and whenever they feel patients ate blinked with financial constraints they are take them for a ride. They are brainwashing the patients and somehow they are giving and their EMIs are exorbitant. This I have noticed in one of my distant relatives fatal. Even at the time of fatal these people are approached and take for a ride to go their last ride.

Couple of days before when I approach for some alternative medical treatment, instead of medical approach first thing is their marketing approach only and they have cone up with four years package and I refused then they have given discount and then they given one year package but doesn't cover the discount. But I have asked them either monthly basis or at least quarterly basis. They have immediately given the option of EMI of some private finance. I have returned home. After reaching home I got repeated calls from their head quarters and they were saying one thing and local branch is saying the same EMI and totally I have rejected and now searching for a new doctor and till such time I am taking Ayurvedha medicines.

When I was seeking a housing loan for the house I am staying now, I faced the real issues from Banks.
First I approached the bank I was employed earlier. Though I approached two branches where I worked and also where the manager and staff know me personally close too. But both refused on some mumble-jumble reasons. I met the officials at the Regional office and told them that I was ready to give any suitable additional collateral security including fixed deposits in my name. But they all refused on some flimsy reasons. I was convinced that they felt insecure and did not want to take even the normal calculated prudent and remedies risk.

The issue before them was that we are building 4 flat house building each flat for each of us brothers on undivided ancestral property. As the land was small we cannot divide it as then it would not be sufficient for individual houses.

Another prominent nationalised bank disposed me(without knowing I am an ex bank employee) saying that their computer has only 3 places to record name and as we siblings are more they cannot enter. What a nice discovery and disposal. I smiled to myself and left.
Another private bank also went on backfoot after initial promise of giving.

It was at that time that my brother suggested to approach a non-banking lender private entity. Though initially they had some reservations, after having one-to-one discussion and visiting us ,they were convinced and offered to sanction loan, but loan amount and repayment period reduced. Though it was not fully satisfying for us, we availed it as it was better than not having loan at all.
The relationship was smooth and now the loan is fully repaid as per schedule on time.
