    Do you know Tony John, ISC WM, once pranked ISC members

    Just when the match is over, all rush to the playground and hit the balls as they like-including the players of both teams. That will be taken in the real sportsman spirit. It will be another added bonus to the main event.

    Now the match of ISC is over -after announcing the 'sunset' news.

    So let us members now take to the ground and hit the ball as we feel and like, till all the lights are closed and the ground is dark.

    That is why I gave a catchy caption.

    I invite your attention to this thread. The thread author's (Tony John's)assumed name when that thread was posted seems to be 'Anurag".

    I dug out this treasure now when I was on a research for something else.
    Let us have a free debate before the sunset time arrives.

    The thread referred by the author has been opened by me just now. The author appears as Tony John. But the answers are addressed to Anurag . How this was happened? I am very confused. When that thread was posted I was not active on this site and hence I don't know where is the catch.

    Though in a hurry I used the word cheating in the title, it was not cheating as it was not intended, but used as a test or prank or trick to gauge the knowledge of the members.

    Hence I request the editors to suitably replace the word cheating in the title by another suitable word for the context. For the time being I had edited and changed to 'pranked'.

    It looks like the thread has been posted by a person named Anurag but now it is showing as Tony John. This looks like a strange activity and needs some clarification from the editors. How is that possible?

    For the information of all the members who have gone through the link provided by Venkiteswaran Sir in the post, I would like to state that it was not any prank and indeed written by a member named Anurag.

    The issue is during a cleanup process earlier, more than a million inactive user profiles were deleted. Inactive profiles are those who have made only a couple of posts, not even in double digits and didn't log in to this platform for more than two years. When those profiles were deleted their posts were reassigned in the name of Tony Sir and that's why you see his name as the name of the author in place of the original author as that profile is already deleted. You may find a couple of such posts assigned to his name in place of the original author and as an example, you may find this one.

    Sankalan's explanation made the subject clear. Thanks to him for the same. I have gone through the link provided by Vandana and I have gone through the story there. The story is a creative story but the photo given there is real.

    The story posted by Tony Sir was amazing and it touched my heart. Even Vandana Madam has gone through this marvellous story depicting the meeting of Mr Obama with Tomy Sir.
    I hope that the new platform will appear shortly providing us with mental stimulation.
    Hope that the ISC management will not let down my wish.

    I am happy that my exploratory and querying mind has prompted bringing our various information and the real fact behind the quoted thread in the main post.

    It is a blessing that veterans like Sankalan Bhattacharya are t available to give us the correct facts and explanations.
    I thank Vandana also in revealing the real prank thread. Overall it was a nice exercise.
