    I am the only member to post in forum today till now. Why all abandoned

    Today when I logged in I did not see any fresh post in forum. The top performers page points page also showed Zero. The new posts page showed last two posts on 29th, of which one was my response post. From the forum index page I could see that last new thread was posted on 27th.

    So it is confirmed that I am the first one -only one till this time- to post something in forum today.

    I think now the forum points are no more counted. Obvious, I infer the points counting and reckoning has stopped from 23rd Septemebr 2024.

    Have all members abandoned ISC for now?

    No. I am regularly visiting this site. in fact, on the 27th, I responded to your earlier thread and also opened a new one to which you responded. But many members stopped visiting I think. I have been regular to this site since 2017 and the same is being continued now. But there is no matter to respond. That is why I am not able to post anything. To my earlier thread, there is only one response from you only. In the absence of activity, I cannot spend long time here. Even I visited the WhatsApp group also. There also there is no activity. We have to wait for the new site to come so that activity will further improve. Members who left earlier are asking about the present status of this site. I informed them about the new website.
    Hope other members will also visit and make their presence felt so that we all will be in touch through this site till the new site comes.

    In my opinion, there is nothing much to discuss now because everyone knows they won't get anything in return. People are just waiting for the updates about the new website. Without any monetary benefits it will be difficult to motivate people to contribute here. ISC has survived for so long just because people were paid for their contributions. Recently, ISC announced that they are discontinuing everything and members can contribute, but they won't get any cash credits or points.

    I think Babu is right. Members are holding back due to a lack of points and cc, which is a pity. It would be nice if these are not considered necessary to continue our association with ISC since Tony Sir has been kind enough to keep the forum open for discussions and not shut the site down wholly.

    I am caught up with some personal matters, including some happy things, but will try to be active in the forum when I can.

    I don't think any one of us will have the heart to abandon this site. But yes, decreased enthusiasm and interest may be a factor for the lack of contributions. And also, many might not be aware that the forum has been opened up again for discussion albeit without any points. Though it would be unfair to expect active participation as before, let us keep the site alive (refer to the author's response to this thread) by submitting posts as and when we can and also post responses to the new threads.

    It is good that 4 responses posted for this thread out of which 2 are from the Editors. There are some other threads but nobody responded to those threads. May be they are busy otherwise.

    About your remark "The top performers page points page also showed Zero." - Note that Tony Sir had mentioned in the sunset update thread that, to ease the migration to the new site, the recalculation feature for points and earnings has been paused. Hence, you will no longer see any names in the 'Top Contributors' list for the day and the last 7 days.

    I agree to Saji that we won't abandon to look into this site. I posted immediately after forum was opened to new posts, but it is understood that members are waiting.

    Today also there are no postings on the site. This is the only content posted today I feel. Some problem with the site also I think. I tried many times in the morning but the site is not getting opened.

    Dr Rao, there may be disruptions in between due to the work that is being carried out in the site. But you can try again and post threads or responses as and when it is available. After all, it is our love for this site that should be acting as ventilator to revive ISC.
