We have to face the forthcoming Deepavali with extra care and caution

Deepavali celebrations are in as we are going to celebrate Deepavali in another ten days. Our children are excited by procuring new dresses and crackers.

We parents should give extra care during these ten days and especially on the day of Deepavali.

We have to keep an eye on the children while lighting crackers.
We should never shout at them while lighting crackers as it may affect their mood and divert them from fire and crackers.
We should guide them to hold their dress while firing the crackers.
We should advise them to wash the hands after the bursting of crackers and before eating anything.
At least one elder person should be with them by setting aside their all works.

The author has come out with good tips for celebrating Dipavali safely.
We should not allow children to fire crackers bear foot. They should wear chappals. All should wear cotton dresses only.
children should not be left alone while firing crackers. kids should be accompanied by elders while firing crackers. It is better to use green crackers so that environmental pollution will be minimal.

This thread is a relief from the usual stereotyped threads coming in past years about restricting ,regulaing or even banning crackers during Diwali. Every time I use to oppose such threads initiated by vested interest and copied or forwarded by naïve people.

Happy that here the author is giving some practical tips to safely enjoy crackers during Diwali celebrations.

I fully agree with Venkiteswaran Sir. For the last ten years or so, we have started getting (unsolicited) advice from different corners against firecrackers before Diwali and against playing with colour on the eve of Holi.

Historically, firecrackers are used in many cultures, many civilizations, to denote the festive occasions. But the so-called liberals only target the Hindu festivals like Diwali. This is agenda-driven liberalism.

We must encourage our younger generations to use firecrackers before, during and after Diwali, but they must follow the safety norms. In this particular context, this particular post by Ramachandran Sir is very necessary and welcome.

Children are excited much during the burning of crackers and parents have to guide them and explain the importance of safety measures. They should enjoy the crackers but should take due care.
    Thoughts exchanged is knowledge gained.
