    Why can't we digest the 'truth' or 'fact'?

    Just I was searching for my old Forum posts which gave me satisfaction for my contribution in ISC. While doing so, I found a thread - Truth is hard to digest by Pooja Srivatsava.

    It drew my attention and thought why can't we digest the truth when it comes to our turn. Please share your thoughts on this.

    It's interesting how we can accept truths from others, but when it's our turn, it becomes harder to face. I think it's because the truth often challenges our beliefs or forces us to confront uncomfortable realities about ourselves. It's not easy to let go of denial or face things we'd rather avoid. Sometimes, the truth feels too overwhelming, and it takes time for us to process it. What do you think?

    We cannot accept the truth about ourselves due to egoism. We are seeking for appreciation and whenever someone points out our weakness we feel ego-hurt. The other reason is due to biased opinion and prejudices.

    Sometimes truth will make us to face difficulties. So to avoid these difficulties many people try to avoid truth. If somebody is trying to explain us our weaknesses, we feel that the other person is jealous of us. But if we accept those words and introspecr, we will understand the reality. Instead of rejecting the remarks of the other person, let us make a note of those points and then think yourselves. One should decive himeself.herslef. Once we introspect, we will understand what the other person is telling about us is truth or not.

    The author brought a good point which everyone of us facing daily in either way. As told by another friend, it is not get digested mainly because of ego. Moreover the truth or fact is not acceptable or criticizing the person telling truth or fact in the needy hour is according to the mood of the person or the way the person taking that. I did similar one, I told a fact which is to be followed to my sister in law three years back which situation forced me to tell the fact but till now it is criticized by her in my backside through other relatives.
