    Angry Santosh Lohar retaliated

35-year old Santosh Lohar, a labourer working on the railway line project in Bihar's Rajouli, was sleeping in his base camp, after the day's hard work. Suddenly he woke up in pain.

He found a big venomous snake had bit him. He was afraid and at the same time, angry. Suddenly, he remembered a local myth that biting the snake back could neutralise the venom. He did exactly that.

In retaliation, he bit the snake twice, killing it then and there. Santosh Lohar survived the ordeal after receiving medical treatment.

This bizarre incident took place in 2024.

Can we call it 'an eye for an eye'?

This reminds me of a famous dialogue from a bollywood movie (Jis tarah loha lohe ko kaat ta hai, waise hi zeher hi zeher ko kaatega na). Dialogue is a bit different with objectionable content.
Humble yourself or life will do it for you!

There is a saying in Telugu that says we have to remove a thorn with another thorn only. This incident says the same thing—the person who received a snake bite retaliated by biting the snake again. The snake died, but the person survived.
