    Happy Vinayaka Chaturthi to all Members of ISC

    Today is Vinayaka Chaturthi. This festival will be celebrated by all Hindus across the country in almost all states.

    Vinayaka is considered the leader of all Pramadha ganas. This elephant-headed God is considered to be powerful, and any work started after worshipping HIM will be successful.
    In Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, starting from today, Ganapathi Navaratri will be celebrated, and we will find many Ganesh pandals on almost all major streets in all villages, towns and cities. Ganesha will be worshipped for nine days, and after that, all Ganesh Idols will be immersed in water.

    I wish all the members of ISC a happy Vinayaka Chaturthi.

    Thank you, and wish you the same. Nice elaborative information about the festival. mostly the Ganesh idol immersion is in Telangana and more in Hyderabad because of Marathi influence.

    A very Happy Vinayaka Chaturthi to all in the ISC family. Lord Ganesha( Vinayaka) removes obstacles to bring success and it is celebrated with great fanfare in many locations throughout the country. Many times, Lord Ganesha is invoked at the beginning of ceremonies so that everything is completed successfully. Lord Ganesha symbolises wisdom and on this special day, I wish that the blessings of Lord Ganesha be there in our lives so that we all can live in abundance.

    Nice info on this festival.

    Like pan india movies. now Vinayaka chaturthi also become pan India because it is surprised to see big big Vinayaka in Kerala too as I visited the border of Kerala TN and see many such. Earlier Kerala won't celebrate apart from their own rituals like onam, etc.,

    Members from Kerala can say more about this in their state.

    In TN this is celebrated at par with Maharashtra and every where big Vinayaka erected and after 3 days it will be immersed in water(sea/river/lake) by taking procession of all.
