Yesterday, it was raining the whole day, and a red alert was issued by GHMC for some areas in its purview. From today morning, it is very cloudy and slightly drizzling in our area, that is Moulaali. Yesterday, we could not go out to see Vinayakas. Many small business people who sell fruits and leaves on the roadside for Vinayaka Chavathi did not get a proper market, I think. As mentioned by the author, many are suffering, especially employees who have to attend their offices and have a tough time. My sons and their families came for Chavithi Pooja and left early in the evening yesterday, as heavy rain is expected in some of the areas in the city through which they have to travel.
The drainage system in Hyderabad is very bad, and even a little rain also will flood low-lying areas with water. Hyderabad is expanding very fast. But the government in the state is not able to provide a minimum of amenities to the taxpayers of this state.

I am not pointing out any specific political parties, but rather stating the actual reality. I lived in Mumbai; there also the situation is the same, where offices are closed due to waterlogging in the offices.

Yesterday I watched a discussion on a TV Channel about the condition of Telangana State because of these floods. All the participants are political leaders from different parties. But everybody felt that the main culprits were politicians only. The main issue is occupying and closing them and constructing houses there. All the houses in the low-lying areas are only getting damaged due to these floods. One should stop the illegal occupation of water reservoirs and convert them into housing colonies. Otherwise, we will witness serious problems in case of severe rains and floods.

Not only low-level lying areas but even metro stations in Hyderabad are filled with rainwater. Sometimes from movie hall rooftops, rainwater will come PVR Multiplex.
