    A Very Happy Durga Puja to you all

    It is time for festivities in West Bengal. The lights are on, the mood is vibrant, the roads are crowded and people are enjoying with their friends and families at full blast. Those who are Bengalis here in ISC or from West Bengal already guessed correctly what I am talking about. Durga Puja is being celebrated throughout the state and in many parts of this country. Well, Bengalis abroad are also celebrating it among their communities in the respective countries where they reside. It is a grand festival for Bengalis all over the world and we all wait for this particular season throughout the year.

    On this auspicious occasion of Durga Puja, I wish everyone in the ISC family A Very Happy Durga Puja! May the blessings of Maa Durga be with us every moment to destroy the evil forces and create things anew.

    Today is Durga Astami. From yesterday, Saraswathi, the Goddess of Wisdom, has been worshipped. It is a common practice in our state to perform Pooja to Sarada Devi from the day Moola Nakshatra comes during this Sarannavaratri. People of all ages need to worship her during this period. People who worship her during these three days will have all success in all their endeavours. This is the belief of many people in AP.
    I wish all the members of ISc a happy Devi Pooja.
