Why such people behaving like this?

Yesterday, we went to a film 'Kantara' without planning. After the movie was over, we decided to take the dinner in the nearby hotel. Hotel, is however a good named one only, where the cost is normal as well taste.
After finishing the waiter gave the bill, I went to cash counter as to pay through a credit card. Before me a person was ordering at the counter for parcel. The counter person, so called cashier, talking to some one over his mobile entered the items as told by the person before me and gave the bill. The person paid his bill amount through gpay and went to collect his parcel. To my turn, he collected the card from me and keeping the card and bill in his hand continued his mobile talking without caring my standing. Amidst, the parcel ordered person came there by telling that parotaa was over asked him to correct the bill. He, the counter person without minding us continuing his talking seriously.
I just take my card and bill and came back to the waiter whether they need money actually. He just smiled, went to the counter and took the card machine and collected the amount from me. He, annoyed himself over my comments about the cashier and just went away.
I do not understand that how such people behave like this that too when sitting in the table/counter where meeting many persons. Why they do not understand that If the opponent party starts scolding the chaos will come.

That is true. Recently, I visited a government office. There were four employees. Three of them were talking on their phones. I went to the fourth person and told him about my requirement. He showed me one employee from the three who were discussing on the phone and told me to talk to her. I had to wait for about 20 minutes to talk to her. After 20 minutes, I told her my requirement. She gave me a form and asked me to fill it up and submit it. She told me it may take three months to get my work done after applying. Still, my work is not completed. Even the technicians who come to our houses to attend repairs will also be on the phone always, and may not give full attention to what we are telling them. This is the order of the day. People are spending more time on the phone, and it is easy to talk to them on the phone rather than talking to them face-to-face.

People have become so addicted to mobile phones that they are not ready to exhibit patience and expect all the daily routines works to be completed within a short span of time just like a robot completing some tasks.

Earlier people would spend their free time in various recreational activities but these days they are able to connect to family members so quickly that they speak to them more on mobiles rather than when they are in front of them. We wish our relatives and friends on whatsApp and Facebook but forget to recall back, if we come face to face even on the same day.

People forget where they kept their car keys, watch or important documents and get annoyed, frustrated with family members or colleagues. We all should be ready to give up this habit and change our lifestyle. All the situation will change only when we change accordingly.
