Why don't car passengers (other than the driver) or co-travellers wear a helmet?

As we heard, several RTI rules are changing for safety and precautionary reasons because lots of accidents are happening. Why is a rule not passed by RTI that wearing a helmet is mandatory for the co-travellers who are travelling in a car to prevent head injuries

I don't understand the logic behind this thread. Why a person travelling in a car should wear a helmet. World over, there is no rule that passengers in a car should wear a helmet. Seat belts are being provided, and all the passengers should use them while travelling. In the latest models of cars there are many safety features, including the provision of gas bags. Of course, a helmet for the driver and co-passenger on a two-wheeler must wear a helmet.

Hello, please go through this video. College students died in a Ford and an XUV; despite having the most safety features, they still died with head injuries...

I have already seen that video. Whatever safety features are there in the vehicles if the passengers don't follow the rules accidents will happen. The passengers are whether wearing seat belts or not is not known. They are travelling at a very high speed. Such kind of accidents will happen even though the passengers where helmets but not follow other safety points.

A person can die in a car if a blunt object pierces through the body and no helmet can save a person from extreme blood loss. Helmet is meant for two wheelers because when a person falls his/her head is exposed unlike in a car where there are airbags.

After watching the current situation, especially after knowing that the pilot of the plane carrying Ajit Pawar was the schoolmate of my daughter, I have started to rethink the entire issue.

Now, I feel not only the passengers of cars, the passengers/boarders of planes, and the passengers of trains must wear helmets. Not only that, but all passengers and employees of trains, planes, buses, and cars must use the highest quality protective jackets so that the casualty figures become the barest minimum.

Now what kind of stupid statement comparing Formula 1 racing and real life car drivers? Do you even know that Formula 1 race cars drive at the speed of 350 km/hr. Indian roads are not even fit to drive cars at 50 km/hr.

One should know the difference between car racing and car travel. In Hyderabad, the maximum speed allowed on outer ring raod is 120 km/h. But at night, many drivers drive their cars at a very high speed and cause accidents. Can they be saved by asking them to use helmets. Helmt will never help a man who is driving the car after drinking.
