    Save Ganga

we all know that since ages Ganga is said to be washing away impurities freeing a person from all his wrong deeds thereby opening doorways to heaven.

But today our holy river Ganga is not only washing away impurities from one`s lifew but also dirt from clothes and body.

Recently in the Kumbha Mela, it was seen that many people are using soap while taking the holy dip and also washing their clothes in the same water using detergent.

suggest what actions could be taken on the part of the UK Government and on the part of citizens of India to save Ganga?

Ganga is not an ordinary river like others. Our setiment is directly attached with this holy river.
Like the concept of carbon trading other concept like dirty trading should be developed.
Any dirty material should not be allowed to flow directly to the river.Suiitable tax should be levied to the industry for polluting the river.Dirty traetment should be done before allowing the water to go in river.
People should be suitably punished for polluting the ganga river.

It is a very good question. HOw can we save Ganga? for us ganga is a holy river which washes away all our sin. but doing that we are making ganga so dirty. I agree with Dr. Kapileshwar Choudhary that suitable tax should be levied to the industry. but this is not enough we should also take steps not to allow the people to wash their clothes in ganga. I always seen people wash their clothes where it has written don't wash your clothes here. our people must be punished by levying heavy penalty for doing such then and there itself.
