Uttarakhand has a history of getting alternate governments by Congress and BJP. Changing the Chief Minister before elections in Uttarkhand has been done earlier also by BJP. The issue is that Khanduri was already a Chief Minister but for reasons best known to BJP High Command, he was changed for a couple of years. Now suddenly BJP finds him suitable of holding this chair once again. This speaks of nervousness on the part of BJP. Khanduri has proved his worth during his tenure as Chief Minister earlier and also while as a Central Minister during Vajpayee's regime. Having commanded in Army, he cannot tolerate the way many politicians behave and that is why he could not be popular. Well that is not his fault but it is strange that BJP thought about him once again nearing elections. Let us see if he can bring some tangible results in a short period before elections and break the tradition of Uttarakhand by bringing BJP to power second time in a row.

The displeasure of voters is very much visible through your thread here. No govt can survive if they indulge in corruption and the elections are right time to tame them.

Now Indian voters are more responsible and clever. They can observe every thing and vote the right candidate when the time come. Yes, now it is not possible for a candidate to reelect once again by involving in corruption.
