Revocation of Armed Forces Special Powers Act in J&K

The debate over Jammu and Kashmir Government's intention to revoke the Armed Forces Special Powers Act in the state is on. In a State where, I feel, terrorism could be kept under control only because of the existence of this Act, revoking this Act will have far reaching consequences. The Central Government should deliberate and take a wise decision and should not give in to pressures.

I fully agree with you. In spite of tremendous pressure from these states, it would be in the interest of these states including J&K and the country not to press for it because it is likely to create more law and order problem. Persons who are interested to encourage terrorism only will propagate this idea of revocation of special powers to army.
