Adarsha Film and TV Institute located at a picturesque location in Bangalore at Hesaraghatta, a location, little away from the heart of the city. The institute is a pioneer in teaching direction, editing, film and TV serial making skills since 1973. Since then the institute has seen a consistent growth in producing stars not only for the television but for the silver screen too.

The institute is aided financially by the Government of Karnataka. From 1979, the State Government took over the reins of the institute in managing the financial and administrative aspects by appointing bureaucrats as administrative officers. The institute also helps its students with updates on new placement opportunities.

The candidates, who successfully complete their Diploma in the respective fields of acting or editing and in other fields, qualify for final examination, which will be conducted by the State Government. The candidates are ultimately awarded with Diploma Certificates in the respective field.
