Ministry of Education recruitment of New Chairman for UGC Delhi

The Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education, Govt. of India has appointed a Search-cum-Selection Committee that is inviting nominations for selecting a new Chairman of the University Grants Commission (UGC). The Committee may also consider persons of eminence outside the list of such nominations. All short-listed nominees may be invited for interaction with the Committee.



General norms: The Chairman will be chosen from among persons who are not Officers of the Central Government or of any State Government. Also, self-nominations will not be accepted.

Appointment norms: The appointed Chairman will hold office for a term of five years or until he/she attains the age of 65 years, whichever is earlier.
