Naval Dockyard Mumbai Apprentice Training School recruitment for Trades IT-24
Naval Dockyard Mumbai invites applications from freshers (Rigger) and ITI-qualified candidates in various designated Trades (IT-24) for enrollment into the Apprenticeship Training program at the Dockyard Apprentice School. Both male and female candidates can apply for the 338 vacancies. Candidates who have undergone Apprenticeship training earlier or are currently undergoing training in any Govt./PSY/private industrial organization are not eligible to apply for this enrollment.
Duration: One-year training for 20 Trades, and two-year training for three Trades.
Eligibility conditions
1. Age criteria: Born between 1st August 202 to 31st October 2008. Age relaxation will be given for SC and ST candidates as per the rules.2. Educational Qualifications: Passed Class 10 with at least 50% marks in the Class 10 exam, along with ITI exam-passed (a provisional National Trade Certificate is also acceptable) in the relevant trade with an aggregate of 65% marks. Additionally, the applicant should have passed the ITI/Trade test from an NCVT-recognized institute and must possess the qualification as of the closing date of application.
The minimum qualification for applicants who are enrolled for Rigger as 'Fresher' should be Class 8th passed (without ITI) and for Forger and Heat Treater should be Class 10th passed (without ITI).
3. Physical Standards: Min. height 150cm, min. weight not less than 45kg. Chest expansion not less than 5cm. Eye sight- 6/6 (6/9 corrected with glasses). External and internal organs should be normal.
Entrance exam
Candidates will be called for a written exam scheduled to be held in August 2022 in Mumbai. The exam is of two hours duration, with 100 MCQs on the subjects of General Science, GK, and Maths. The exam center will be in Mumbai only, and the date, time, and venue will be intimated to candidates through online call letters on their registered email ID only. Candidates have to arrange for their own boarding and lodging, and travel expenses.Application procedure
