Chennai Metro Rail Limited Recruitment of General Manager (Maintenance) and other posts in Chennai

Applications are invited from eligible/experienced, Indian nationals for Chennai Metro Rail Limited to recruit the below-mentioned posts on a contract basis. The tenure of the contract is initially for two years for all posts and will be extended based on the requirements and performance of the candidate as per the existing norms of the CMRL.

Eligibility requirements

General Manager (maintenance-one post) Post Code -1
Age: The candidate should not exceed 55 years as of 09/06/2024.
Educational Qualification: The candidate should be a B.E./B. Tech degree holder from a government recognized institution/university, approved by the AICTE/UGC.
Experience: The applicant should have at least 20 years of experience maintaining large structural projects, which include supervision, and sustenance of electrical and mechanical assets, such as MEP, TVS, HVAC, and other related resources. He/she must have a managerial skillset of maintaining tracks and civil assets coordinating the civil team for technical inputs. The applicant must be responsible for planning and conducting scheduled/unscheduled maintenance, breakdown management, and technical modifications if any problem arises and to ensure technical and legal compliance in maintaining the electrical and mechanical assets and operation/execution of contracts.

Manager (vertical and horizontal transportation system-one post) Post Code-2
Age: The maximum age limit is 38 years as of 09/06/2024.
Educational Qualification: The candidate should be a B.E./B. Tech graduate in EEE and Mechanical engineering from a recognized institution/university, approved by the AICTE/UGC. If the applicant holds a PG degree in the relevant field, it will be an additional qualification.
Experience: The applicant should have at least seven years of experience and technical skills in the management of elevators, escalators, and travelators. The candidate should have adequate knowledge of the project implementation, safety and quality procedures, industrial code standards in the relevant field, SCADA system, etc., and exposure to tendering, contract management, design validation, and interface management. Experience in large infrastructure projects, such as installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of vertical transportation systems in airport/railway/metro rail projects is required.

Assistant Manager (Testing and commissioning-15 posts)-Post Code-3
Age: The maximum age limit is 30 years as of 09/06/2024.
Educational Qualification: The candidate should possess a B.E./B. Tech degree (EEE, ECE, electrical, mechanical, IT, and CS or a combination of any of these disciplines) from a government recognized institution/university, approved by the AICTE/UGC.
Experience: The applicant should have at least two years of experience in metro rail/railways systems such as rolling stock, power supply, traction, signal, and telecommunication and operations.
