Shantiniketan Women's College of Education, Nagpur invites applications from eligible candidates for the below-mentioned positions. The Pay Scale is as per the norms of UGC and the State Govt.
Principal Vacancy
This is a full-time regular post with the appointment for 5 years, which may be extended for another term of 5 years based on performance assessment by a university-appointed Committee appointed by the University.Eligibility-
1. Academic Qualifications: Ph.D. Degree.
2. Experience: Professor/Associate Professor with a total service/experience of at least 15 years of teaching/research in Universities/Colleges and other institutions of higher education.
3. Publications and Research Score: A minimum of 10 research publications in peer-reviewed or UGC-listed journals; and a research score of at least 110.
Faculty vacancies
All these are full-time clear vacancies.1. Assistant Professor - Education:
2. Assistant Professor - Fine Art
3. Assistant Professor - Physical Education
Eligibility for all faculty positions: The applicant should have a Master's Degree with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade) in the concerned/relevant/allied subject from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university. For #3, the applicant should have a B.P.E./B.P.Ed./M.P.Ed.
The applicant should also have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC or the CSIR, or a similar test accredited by the UGC. Candidates with a Ph.D. may be exempt from this, provided they fulfill the required conditions as per UGC norms (refer to the official notification for details).
Also required- Librarian. However, the specific eligibility requirements are not mentioned in the official notification.
Application procedure
Interested candidates should submit their application on a plain paper/prescribed proforma, addressed to the Principal/Dean/Director at the college address on or before 30th July 2024 along with a crossed postal order of Rs. 100 /- drawn in favour of the Principal/Dean/Director and certified copies of the relevant certificates/testimonials.Note that those applicants who are employed must send their applications through their parent employer, furnishing an advance copy of the same to the College Principal. Also, these applicants must produce a 'No Objection Certificate' from the parent employer on or before the date of the interview.
