Eligibility for the post of Additional General Manager (NM)

Colonel with 4 years of experience in the Rank or Brigadier. Candidates from the Indian Army will only be considered for selection to the above post.

BE / B.Tech in Electronics/ Communication/ Electrical or equivalent from an AICTE approved Institution or equivalent Defence Services Qualification issued by the Competent authority. Additional Qualification /experience in Business Administration and Financial Planning is desirable.


Relevant experience and knowledge of products/ systems required by the defence forces and with an aptitude and knowledge of sound business Management practices and procedures. In addition to flair for Marketing, the candidate must possess high level initiatives and excellent communication skills.


¾ Preparation and implementation of annual Marketing Plans for National
Marketing function.

¾ Explore new business opportunities in terms of segments and products for BEL and assist Units and SBUs in tendering process.

¾ Identifying the Qualitative equirements/ specifications from customers, articulating the customer projects and requirements to production, R&D divisions as applicable.

¾ Liaise with Customers, providing customer support ad services through efficient
internal coordination.

¾ Participate in demonstrations,presentations, exhibitions and seminars to projects BEL and its products.

¾ Gather intelligence on Industry trends, customer existing and future needs and
disseminate information to the relevant channels within BEL.

¾ Oversee the general administration of all facilities and logistics requirement for
BEL at the National Marketing/Marketing centre/offices.
