Brihadeeswarar Temple is a Hindu temple located in Thanjavur of Tamil Nadu. Lord Shiva is the primary deity of this temple. This temple is engineered by Raja Raja Chola I and the construction is completed in the year 1010 which means that this temple is 1000 years old by 2010. This temple is very big and its height is around 65 meters. A shocking fact is that the entire temple structure is made of granite but the nearest source of granite is 60 kilometers away from the temple. This temple is one of the best tourist attractions of Tamil Nadu. Also, this temple is a part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site. Above is a photo of the entrance of the Brihadeeswarar Temple.
