Exam Details - Engineering Entrance Exam Practice Tests

Some state level exams are: Delhi University Combined Entrance Examination, Punjab Technical University Engineering Exam, Madhya Pradesh Pre Engineering Test, Rajasthan Pre Engineering Test, West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations, Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test, Karnataka Combined Entrance Test etc.
Apart from these institutes there are thousand other government colleges, semi-aided colleges, private colleges and autonomous and deemed universities too that offer several courses in engineering. These colleges provide admission either on basis of their respective state's entrance exam or they conduct their own entrance tests like Bharati Vidyapeeth Engineering Entrance Exam, Jawaharlal Nehru University Engineering Entrance Exam, Netaji Subhas Institute of Technology Delhi, Symbiosis International University Engineering Exam, Vellore Institute of Technology Engineering Entrance Exam and many more.
Eligibility Criteria for Engineering Entrance Exams
The eligibility criteria differ from institute to institute but usually to appear for an Engineering entrance exam the candidate should have completed 10+2 in science from any recognised board for B.E/B.Tech and should have completed B.E/B.Tech for masters' course.
Engineering Entrance Exam Pattern
Generally most of the engineering entrance exams have 2 papers. One which is sub divided into 3 subjects: Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. The other paper is in selected engineering entrance exams where a test is conducted on aptitude and drawing in case of B.Arch or B.Planning. The questions papers are mostly objective multiple choice.
Engineering Entrance Exam Dates
Usually various colleges have their own time of selection and conduction of entrance exams, but most of them are organised between December to July every year.
