Exam Details - Law Entrance Exams

Law Education is taken up by those individuals who aim at becoming legal practitioners. Unlike Medical and Engineering field a degree in Law can not only be utilised to set up a profession in Legal practise, but also can be useful in other fields like business, politics etc. It can be taken up as a profession or can also be taken up for a socio cultural awareness.
Studies in this field are multi-disciplinary. There are subjects that need scientific knowledge, on the other hand the knowledge of accounting and finance is also desirable.
There are a number of Universities and Colleges in India that provide several courses in Law. The degree courses range in 5, 3 and 2 years and the diploma courses are either for 1 year or 6 months. The integrated programme B.A.L.L.B is for 5 years. Other than that one can do L.L.B for a duration of 3 years after completing the under graduate degree.

*Admissions to the National Law Colleges all over India are done through the CLAT.
Eligibility Criteria for Law Entrance Exams in India
Usually to appear for almost all the Law related entrance tests, the candidate is required to have completed 10+2 or equivalent with an aggregate of atleast 50% marks.
The candidate should not be more than 20 years in age at the time of appearing in the exam.
Exam pattern for Law Entrance Exams
Usually the subjects covered in the exams for Law College Entrance are English, G.K, Basic Maths, Logical Reasoning and Legal Aptitude.
