Most members do not know how to earn money online at India Study Channel. Their very first post, in fact, will be in the Forum: "How to make money at ISC?".
This article hopes to give guidance on earning at one of the best online work at home sites, India Study Channel.
Post self-written articles in the Articles section: You can write on any topic and put it in the correct category in Articles/Knowledge Sharing or other appropriate category. Make sure that each article is self-written and does not contain copy-pasted content from any site or printed matter. Cash credits: Re.1/ - to Rs.100/-.
Post Reviews: You can write reviews about schools and colleges. Using the main search tool, visit the page of the school or college about which you wish to post a review. Scroll down to the yellow box, where you will find the link to post the review. Cash credits: Depends on the quality of the review.
Post Exam Papers: You can post exam papers of the last three years. However, exam papers of any regional language are not allowed. Cash credits: Re.1/- to Rs.5/- per paper.
Answer queries in the Ask Expert section: In this section, members post a wide variety of queries related to education, health, computers, etc. Share your knowledge by responding to these queries. Cash credits: Re.1/- to Rs.50/-.
Update Information: You can update information about schools and colleges. That is, if you see that the information provided is incomplete or incorrect, click on the update information link given at that page & provide the correct information. Cash credits: Re.1/- to Rs.10/-.
Take part in ISC Contests: From time to time, the Webmasters and editors announce contests in the Forum. These could be articles contests, creative writing contests, active GDs, etc. A GD is a Group Discussion posted as a Forum thread. Note that the contest group discussion is clearly marked 'GD' and differs from the general group discussion topics posted by other ISC members in the Forum. Cash credits: For active GD, the best participants will share Rs.100/- each. Winner of the articlee contest gets Rs.250/- and runners-up prizes are also given of Rs.100/-. Awards for other contests are announced at the time of announcing the contest.
Win an award: ISC gives 2 main awards – Member of the Week (Rs.250/-) and Member of the Month (Rs.500/-). There is also the Wizard of the Month award (Rs.250/-), wherein a member who posts good quality posts (in terms of quality and not quantity) in the following section gets an award – Forum, Articles and Ask Expert. Note, though, that it is not necessary that all these sections will have awardees every month. It is possible that a suitable candidate will not be available for this award.
Google AdSense revenue sharing program: This is an excellent program at ISC, wherein you can earn revenue generated by the Google Ads which appear at all your pages where you have posted something. As per this program, the ISC adm. keeps 10% of the revenue, while the member gets 90%. The program is valid for 1 year only for most members, whilst those who have been long-term with ISC can get an extension. Please see this: Revenue Sharing Period For Active Members.
However, to be eligible for this program, it is essential that you adhere to all ISC rules, especially the rule of not copy-pasting information and not spamming. Of course, ISC does not guarantee approval for the program. The approval is given solely by Google Inc. and ISC is not responsible for your eligibility or any other aspect of the program, other than being an avenue to get into the program.
Cash credits: ISC does not give cash credits under this program. Your earnings are solely dependent on your posts and the payment is made by Google Inc. (the $ is converted to your country's currency once your earnings reach $100) directly to you.
Kontera revenue sharing program: This is similar to the Google AdSense program mentioned above. However, the Kontera ads are not directly visible like the Google ads. They are related to keywords used in your posts. When you point at such a word (it has double lines beneath it), a small rectangle will open and display the Kontera Ad. Cash credits: As in Google AdSense, you get the payment from Kontera.
Referral Program: You can earn cash credits by referring others to join ISC. When somebody joins ISC through your referral link, you get paid Re.1/-. Then, as that member progresses to the upper levels of membership, you get cash credits. However, to avail of those cash credits, the member must put in the validation code on joining ISC (the code is sent by ISC to him/her via email).
New Payment Programs: Please check the India Study Channel Forum regularly for new payment programs that the Webmasters may announce from time to time. Also, if you have any query regarding a payment program (such as you don't know the guidelines or rules), please post your query in the Forum. You will get a response from other members, Editors or Webmasters.

You cannot activate your Google AdSense account right away. You need to be an active contributor to ISC with good posts and apply for the AdSense program only after 7-8 months. @ Eshant: Let's say you post ABC today and XYZ in July. So ABC will get you 1 year adsense from the date of that post and for XYZ you will get adsense from the date of the post in July.
However, some time back Webmaster Tony Sir had put in a Forum announcement that members who have been contributing for a long time can get an extension for AdSense sharing revenue program. So some members have got an extension for 2 years.
I submitted my college name and details but it is not appearing in college list.I have written a college review also, it is also not showing in that particular college review list.I did not get any cash credits also for these postings.Can you help me by clarify this doubts??

@ Jayanta: Sl no.2-Posting in Business Directory: No, it is not necessary to take consent of the owner of the business before posting the information. However, please make sure that you put in correct information.
Sl no.4.-Posting of Exam-paper: It was the Webmasters's decision to change the earlier cash credits from 5/- to 1/-. We have to abide by their decisions.
Sl no.5-Answers to queries in ask expert section: Yes, you can answer to any professional questions from your general knowledge though you are not in that specific profession. The main rule is that you should not copy-paste information from any site or printed matter.

Hi vandana great article on revenue sharing. I want to ask you one thing. How to convince others to join? I am finding it hard to make people give time to look at this site. Even after talking about the ease with which they can generate money in their free time.
Actually I too have not found it easy to convince others to join ISC! Perhaps most people are wary of doing online work after all the scams that are constantly circulating in e-space.
Also, ultimately ISC can only be a source of a small income & should never be considered as a permanent life-time income avenue. It is always best to have a steady monthly income from a regular job rather than solely depending on ISC. Also, studies should always get first priority since education is the strongest foundation of a full-fledged career and financial independence.

Regarding Forum responses: the cash credits for a response is not dependent on the number of lines, but on the quality of the response. A lengthy response with little or no proper information will not get high cash credits. Conversely, a 2-3 lines response packed with information can get good cash credits.
Respected Ms. Vandana, Delighted to read an article, which would surely alienate all the doubts of the beginners, who are regularly, join to ICS. Ms. Vandana, I am not a techno savvy person but have joined ISC to get my article to public through this medium. I achieved Gold and also the permission for the Google AdSense. I have penned all the content details required and applied for the Google AdSense. But was surprised to have a message flashed as soon as I pressed the button to apply. @ Abhinash: what exactly do you mean by "status"? If you mean stepping up to the next membership level: as you accumulate points, you will step up to silver, then gold, then diamond & then platinum. If you mean ranking: the rank changes as per you contributions per week. If you mean becoming an editor: there are certain criteria needed to be able to become an Editor.

Gagan, Please note that our site is IndiaStudyChannel (ISC) and not indiastudycenter. We do not give cash credits for posting questions in our Ask Expert section. We give cash credits for good responses, depending on the quality of the responses.
How to start at ISC: You should begin in the forum. Here, you can discuss views with other members and thus work on your English skills. You can post your queries too in the forum regarding any feature or rule about ISC which you do not understand.
If you are confident about your English skills, you can start responding to questions in the Ask Expert section and submit articles in the Resource section. In all sections, you must write in your own words and not copy-paste info from anywhere. If you are submitting articles, you should do so on topics which are unique and not generic & saturated.
Take part in various contests which are announced in the forum from time to time. We also give awards as you can see in the Winners category of the forum (in the forum category of IndiaStudyChannel). You can check out all our earning programs at the link given at the top of the page.
Feel free to take further guidance from any editor or from other members through the forum. Once you learn, you will soon start earning a small part-time income at ISC.
A good article but a little out-dated of sorts in the present scenario. As the rules have changed over the period of time and some reward programs have been discontinued in addition to some more reward programs been added, the article should be edited to give proper and up to date information.

I think earning from India Study Channel needs consistency and zeal to contribute. Just visiting the site and reading the contents for knowledge purpose wont suffice. You must have the interest and knack to create best articles out of your own thinking. The article may be on any subject but it must be India-centred. Please note that while posting the article, all possible action must be taken like creating a good heading, nice summary, very good contents with all inputs and above all your view on the article or problem thus suggested. That will impress the editor of this site and you are sure to get the cash credits and handsome points. Once you start earning good points, then that will pave the way for eligibility to earn monthly bonus revenue from the site which is distributed to the top 20 members of this site. So be consistent and aim at earning reasonable income through this site.
